Usui! <3
I dont think its strange! Anime is a style of animation which was designed to look attractive I think! And obviously as it is fiction they are going to make characters look as perfect and flawless as possible. That said...

No, it's not strange. Only a tiny portion of our brain is aware of anime/manga characters being fictitious.

Yes there are sexy anime characters they're fictionally/well drawn to be attractive on a somewhat realistic level.

But... I think it might be a mental problem or something to like something that isn't real, in this case an Anime character, in a sexual way. It might just be and obviously this is my opinion... but I find it wrong and kind of want to hit the people who give up real women for 2d girls on the back of the head NCIS style.

why do you want to hit them? they are not doing anything wrong, so why do you feel like hitting them? there are some people that like 2D girls more than real (3D) girls, it's not something that you could do something about, in the same way that you can't do anything against gays.
all those anti-gay arguments are just retarded, they are basically saying no, because they don't like it.
so is there a real reason behind it, or do you hit them with the same reason as the anti gay people " I don't like it".?

It's super fine. I love my waifus. I might just feel this way because it's not so much the physical so much as the mental I'm attracted to. For example Ryuko from Kill la Kill is not sexy, she's angry and pissed off ALL THE TIME. I love Nia from Gurren though she's great, and multiple characters from Clannad.

It's not entirely unreasonable. Characters can still be sexually appealing whether they are drawn or not.

The difference between the drawn panties of an anime character and the panties of a real life girl you see on your computer screen aren't all that different as far as your brain's association goes. Just because boobs are drawn doesn't make them any less boob-ish to you does it? Animated girls/guys can still have sexual appeal by just matching the evolutionary traits that people have learned to associate with sexual appeal, whether they are drawn or not doesn't matter.

When stuff starts to get Highschool of the Dead on you though and starts breaking the laws of physics, what with boobs flailing around like a hippy at a Phish concert if the girls even so much as subtly change their posture, your brain's ability to associate what it is being shown and what it knows to be becomes distorted. Hence why shows like Queen's Blade and HSOTD are frequently cited examples of having too much fanservice, while a lot of other shows can get away with having bit titted characters and whatnot all the time.

The biggest thing to me is age. For example, Baka and Test's Himagi is an awesome character to me. But I feel really weird when I see her in a swimsuit when the show is telling me that she is also a minor. But most of the time my brain blocks that out anyway due to the associations that I explained before. I'm told that they are minors but my brain doesn't really believe they are because many, MANY times high school characters look nearly identical to characters we are told are adult. So most of the time I just end up even forgetting that they are minors to begin with. Hell, some characters like Clannad's Tomoya don't really evolve at all physically even though his story spans... what... 7 years? I'm not an ephebophile but it can be really weird sometimes to watch anime with titillation in it and then your brain just kinda goes, "wait.... she's 15! What!?"

I look at it this way. Preferring Sexy 2D characters over real people prevents overpopulation. Therefore, people who like 2D characters just do their part to save the Earth.

It is really bad when you take the anime rule of overdevelopment into account and still get it wrong. I thought the character here was 15, maybe 14. Nope...12.

It is from the first episode of Godannar, for anyone that is curious. Thankfully, she's 18 for the remainder of the series.

I don't generally trust people, but their is one thing I can trust all of Mankind on.

Mankind is perverted, and knows how to do perverted things.

Mankind is able to draw a character with the extensive purpose of inciting your gender identification organs in a sexual manner.

Be it a 3-Gilion year old fertility idol or a sexy drawing.

We're like that....and this question is in the wrong part of the internet.

I think it's uncomfortable when anime characters with baby faces have like grown woman bodies, and it's just generally weird to be attracted to anime characters that resemble children. I do believe there's pedophilia undertones to it. Having said that they do something very similar in the fashion industry as they purposely choose models with very child like faces. It's definitely disturbing to think about.

I don't think its strange in the slightest for people especially men to find animated characters sexy. Sexy is sexy animated or not, and a nice pair of D's is a nice pair of D's. It honestly doesn't really become strange or a problem until people start neglecting their real life relationships.

That being said I've never gotten the loli fascination some people have. I've met/ smashed a lot short flat chested women in my lifetime but they still looked their age. lolis on the other hand just look uncomfortably young. And when I say young I mean FBI breaking your door down type young. The only one I've seen that managed look her age in an anime or manga, but could still be classified as a loli, was Himegami from Maken Ki. Thats it. I could be wrong but she's the only one I know of, that didn't make my "the fuck's this nonsense?" meter go off.

Nah. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. And let's be honest, yes the vast majority of anime characters are underaged (By American standards, at any rate) however, aside from lolis which are an entirely different issue most of them are not made to look like teenagers/young girls. They look like fully grown, young women. They are supposed to look sexy. The artists drew them that way on purpose.

A lot of people find video game characters sexy too. I don't think it's all that abnormal.

I guess where it starts to get weird for me is when people buy body pillows and stuff, but I guess even then they aren't hurting anybody, so whatever.

There's a stigma against finding fictional characters attractive (animated characters, that is), but I don't think there is anything inherently wrong about it. The stigma is, as far as I'm concerned, born out of ignorance.
