Does your laptop has touchscreen functionality? And do you like it?

i just got a new laptop with touchscreen, and I love it... not having to use a mouse all the time is so... nice (can't think of a better adjective at the moment).

How do you feel about touchable screens on laptops?

I don't use laptop. Don't like it. There will always be an issue with optimal performance and quality, and that it often times runs too hot too soon, and the screen is usually small and has bad quality too. Touch screen would be great if I had three arms, though. I might have reconsidered it then.

I wouldn't say not having a touchscreen on a laptop makes it ancient Especially given my laptop is 6 months old, cost $1300 dollars, and doesn't have one...

Anyways, I don't care that my computer doesn't have a touch screen, actual keyboards feel a lot more natural, and most touch screen layouts that I've seen are annoying has heck

It's a great substitute for a heater, I suppose.
I like having a portable PC.

Yeah, I definitely type faster with keyboards (and will use keyboard to type long stuff), but it's convenient not having to use a mouse to move up or down a page xD

My entire family has one except for me (poor college student)

I'm stuck with this 4 year old Toshiba laptop for now. Would love a new one with a touch though.

Nope, I still have a laptop that was purchased on September 22, 2008. Even if I had the funds, I personally would not like to own a touchscreen laptop.

who needs touch stuff on a laptop? my laptop is bloody ancient and i see no need for a touchscreen on a laptop or a desktop. almost all new "consumer" devices come preloaded with winblows 8. I refuse to use winblows 8 as the darn metro ui stinks. the worse thins is you cant even easly remove winblows 8 as the bios on new stuff has the darn trusted platform module stuff that prevents you from running unsigned code. so in other words getting linux to work on a "new" system is a pain in the butt and even if you do get it working how can your trust the TPM? I refuse to use any system newer then 2006 as that's when TPM's became the real threat to doing what you want with your hardware. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLoIcdIu_Kk

My laptop is ancient. It's time for a new one but I'm not sure I'd want a touchscreen one.

Nope, my laptop doesn't have a touchscreen and it is fairly new, but I don't really care for touchscreens as i always seem to accidentally open links and programs.

I kind of just got it as an experiment o.o I could live without it though, I don't use it all that often. And I'm just so used to the mouse

I had the option to include a touchscreen but decided not to. I don't find it useful for me. I can still run most mainstream games anyway.
