Ahhhh yeah, its not pay to win.

Pay to see content, yes (unless you have a lot of credits and just buy weekly passes instead of subbing)

Not pay to win

Paying cash isn't going to give you magic gear, that will allow you to down Operation bosses with ease. And its not going to allow you to go and smack down everyone in pvp. You can't "buy" top gear for operations or pvp.

I will admit the f2p structure is a joke in terms of accessibility though. If you want to really enjoy the game, you need to sub too it. But I guess that makes something like WoW super pay to win because you can't even login to the wow servers without a sub.

they have a few things that you can only get with 'cartel coins' but those are just lvl 30 items, and are actually very crappy, and only about 6 items to boot

I did a lot of SWTOR not too long ago but my characters aren't on that server (though it isn't too hard to switch). I got my Sorc up and fully geared. I joined a raiding guild and got a lot of the high content down.

However, our raiding group disbanded so I quit. I was tired of trying to find good groups to raid with and then it became too time consuming. Also, some of the best players are either too into it and don't know how to have fun or they aren't dedicated enough and almost never show up.

It's hard to find that balance when doing end game content. I'm a pretty decent healer for end game raiding if you ever need someone, hit me up. I have almost all the voice chats downloaded too. Mumble, Teamspeak, Ventrillo are the mains

hey, if you want, my guild is on 'The Shadowlands' and is Republic Operations, we do ops, and a guild where officers actually help out, and want others to have fun, mostly adults, so no stupid(no offense meant) kid attitudes(though we somehow attract 'Drama Queens')

So they announced the new expansion for SWTOR.

And I have to say the 12x experience boost to class missions is so nice You can pretty much just level up doing nothing but class missions with it (guild xp boost and general +25% xp boost stack with this bonus as well). Also all your skill training and speeder training is completely free.

I haven't played this in a while. I've actually created a character for each of the class on each side. So have 8 characters. Have about 3 of them at level 50-55. My favs though are my Smuggler and Bounty Hunter. Might have to check out this new expansion too.

I've only played around 140 hours.

Feel free to PM me if you have any characters on The Harbinger or The Shadowlands and want to play together.

Holy crap you made it all the way to level 30?
I made it to level 12-ish before I started crying blood and drooling stomach acid.
By far one of the most boring mmo's I've ever played, and no playable wookiees makes me sad.

Wow you don't have a broad base of MMOs then. I remember playing Perfect World International and being so bored I couldn't cry any tears. Seriously the grind on that game and then waiting around to regen health is so boring.

Nope. I usually commit myself to an MMO, so if I were to try everything it would take up my entire life.
Star Wars tor can go die now for all I care.

And seriously what's up with the lack of wookiees.

Oh wow, I forgot about this thread. I've been on hiatus from the game for a while now. Maybe I'll get back into it at some point, I'm just kind of waiting to get that itch to play an MMO again. Right now I'm replaying Skyrim and that's been sating my video game needs quite nicely- and is free
