I didn't really like it a lot, and probably won't watch again.

Too much of the chatter was inane to me. I had to skip large sections just because nothing really interesting was being said at all. More than a little verbose I think I can understand the need for a host to carry a conversation, but when that constitutes talking for the sake of talking I start to tune out a bit.

And for some reason all the titles being discussed happened to be within genres I don't like. Like starting out with everyone gushing about Pupa was kind of amusing since it seems to be the lowest rated anime on CR this season so far lol.

The webcam format was a little unnecessary. And like I said your camera angle was pretty distracting for me while trying to listen. The film maker in me kept wanting to yell "TOO MUCH HEAD ROOM."

And I wasn't terrifically impressed with the cast. I would have preferred to see a big name Crunchyroll user on there. But I suppose I can understand that not working out if nobody had shown enough interest months ago when you first asked for people to help out.

Nice work, I have to say I enjoyed the show and it was really nicely done. You did get a littler verbose here and there though hehehehe.

Thank you I appreciate the feedback, yea I feel that's my background as an interviewer/commentator gets the better of me sometimes, moving things along in the main show when we debut our 1st episode will be smoother we hope. I will work on toning down my verbosity.

Too be honest. An hour of random banter isn't really worth my time. That introduction, I just skipped to thrid different sections until I skipped to the end. If the show was 30 minutes, it would be fine, but I think an hour isn't justifiable yet, until you have a busy crowd. I feel like I can skip some of your shows so I can:
a. Watch an episode of the anime myself to claim my own opinions. One hour of your show is: 2 full length episodes and 2 5 minute anime.
b. Read comments on the episode on the video page.
c. Discuss with others about the show in the forum in the show Discussion thread. If I want to talk about the season, I'll look for the season's thread.
d. Read AnimeNewsNetwork, Crunchyroll News, Crunchyroll fourms, Social Media of other anime companies (ie. Facebooks of Funimation, Crunchyroll, and Sentai). To catch up on the news.

Sorry if all I did was just banter... Also I also don't really want to watch it is your credibility. I never really never seen your username in any other forums around here other than the posts that you've been making for your show. It be great if you had the very active Crunchyroll members on your show as that would be really interesting.

Well, good luck with your show. I'll try watching the first episode and see how it will go from there. I hope you can succeed since the Live Show isn't frequent.

1) Too much of the chatter was inane to me. I had to skip large sections just because nothing really interesting was being said at all. More than a little verbose I think I can understand the need for a host to carry a conversation, but when that constitutes talking for the sake of talking I start to tune out a bit.

3) The webcam format was a little unnecessary. And like I said your camera angle was pretty distracting for me while trying to listen. The film maker in me kept wanting to yell "TOO MUCH HEAD ROOM."

4) And I wasn't terrifically impressed with the cast. I would have preferred to see a big name Crunchyroll user on there. But I suppose I can understand that not working out if nobody had shown enough interest months ago when you first asked for people to help out.

First & foremost we extremely appreciate the feedback & I'd like to try and clarify some of what you may believe shall be a recurring theme in later episodes.

1) The inane-like chatter which it may have definitely seemed like at times was because if anything this was an introduction episode and is nowhere near the standard format/outline the show will be using come our 1st ep. of the winter 2014 season set to premiere on Jan 15th, 2014 at 10am PST. So consequently the "talking for the sake of talking" part you mention is understandable as their may have been some moments of filler since the objective for the introduction show was to explain the outline of the show come our 1st episode & everything we plan to do with the show. Which we covered pretty early on in the show.

2) The titles we discussed were more of just some that stuck out to us since it was an introduction ep. and we were wanting the viewers to familiarize themselves with our perspectives. We will be announcing the 5 new simulcasts that we'll be covering for the 2014 winter season in part of our weekly show. The thing I've noticed about ratings is that they seem to partly inconsistent since not everyone votes, writes a review or comments on each episode/the series. Though more often than not the ratings per week are fairly accurate for shows in my exp.

3) The webcam format is what makes our group show different from what's currently out there, this of course was a primary reason for doing the show this way after doing research on what currently existed in the space for recap/reviews on anime. Most either do first impressions, reviews or podcasts. Though none of them are in a group call + webcam from what I've seen so far, it's usually 1 or the other. Additionally we took the time to get customized gfx for our show which we believe shows our commitment to the viewers that we want to be different.

4) We plan to change up the 2 guests spots each week w/ possibly some returning guests. Were open to take on anyone from the scene whether it be someone from within or outside of CR. I put an edit in my OP at the very bottom as a (P.S.) clarifying just that. I think back then when I made the initial post it was more for feedback on what rollers thought of the concept I had in mind back then. I would love to get big name rollers or even roller recommendations from the community on who to bring on, anyone is more than welcome to PM me if they would like to come on the show as a guest.

I hope this answers if not clarifies some of the possible miscommunication & again thank you for your feedback.

the interview is a video interview I did with her IPL5 Las Vegas 12'. I put a link to the interview in the OP towards the top regarding the part about me interviewing her. Though here is a direct link to the Interview, I hope you enjoy.

TY for your feedback & I'll do my best to clarify some of what seems to be a miscommunication.

1) The 1st episode was an Introduction show, so the beginning of the show(first 15-20 mins) is when we broke down how the standard weekly format/outline is going to work when our official 1st episode debuts on Jan 15th, 2014 at 10am PST. We easily could have gotten away with doing a 30 min or less show, but we wanted to add context past just explaining how the show will work in later ep.

We wanted viewers to get an idea of who we are, our opinions, thoughts, perspectives, characters, etc & doing an intro ep. is what we believe a great way to do that. I can definitely see where your coming from, which is why in our official weekly ep starting tomorrow, it will be an accurate showing of what ya'll can expect from us during each season.

2) I have posted on the forums a few times, though through my exp their are many people who choose not to post on the forums, be very active or even be barely active. I would never judge someone just because they don't post on the forums as they just might not be forum people & I additionally don't know their background or history dealing with forums. For many in my exp there seems to be a right place/time for those to engage in forum activeness.

There is a (P.S.) at the end of my OP covering just that regarding cr members coming on the show. At the moment we have 2 open guest spots which we plan to rotate every week depending on how deep our guest bench is. Rollers are more than welcome to PM me if any of them are interested in coming on the show, members like yourself can PM other members to PM me if they are interested or you can PM me members names that you recommend & I'll PM them to see if their interested.

3) Thank you, I promise that our official 1st ep will be very different in terms of format.

Again TY for your feedback as constructive criticism gives us a lot to think about.

Too long.
Didn't read.

edit: member guests would be a great idea.
Is there a screening/editing for PG13?

If nobody else signs up to be a guest star, I'll do it.

Yeah I guess I more meant a Crunchyroll user at all who has at least a modicum of forum presence around here.

Intro Episode

I like the idea & I think the presentation is pretty good. Guests for the most part did a good job, I thought. Margaret's creds are LEGIT, even if she isn't necessarily in the "anime biz."

Overall, cool idea for a show, good execution.

Ah, if only I wanted to be a youtube star...instead I'm just another faceless blogger... *tear*

EDIT: But looooooonnnnngggggg

EDIT 2: A suggestion from watching the first episode. Perhaps you could put times in the description, so that we can jump to parts of the show where you are talking about specific anime. For example, I'm not interested/watching Pupa, so I don't really care to hear anymore about it, but I really was interested to hear the takes you all had on Nisekoi. It was just a little troublesome to have to fast forward and try and find the right spot to watch what I wanted to watch.

I would LOVE to see my friend zipzo debate/destroy some people over anime related topics.

Alternately, AnimeKami's ambiguousness could be quite hilarious.

^I do mean both of those comments. And I don't mean them critically at all.
