Yeah I guess I more meant a Crunchyroll user at all who has at least a modicum of forum presence around here.

We definitely want more Crunchyroll guests on! We initially asked for some, but no one was interested. I think most people want to see a proof of concept before they up and join a new show like this. Hopefully, we have proven that we can present our thoughts in a well manner and with some semblance of professionalism.

I like the idea & I think the presentation is pretty good. Guests for the most part did a good job, I thought. Margaret's creds are LEGIT, even if she isn't necessarily in the "anime biz."

Overall, cool idea for a show, good execution.

Ah, if only I wanted to be a youtube star...instead I'm just another faceless blogger... *tear*

EDIT 2: A suggestion from watching the first episode. Perhaps you could put times in the description, so that we can jump to parts of the show where you are talking about specific anime. For example, I'm not interested/watching Pupa, so I don't really care to hear anymore about it, but I really was interested to hear the takes you all had on Nisekoi. It was just a little troublesome to have to fast forward and try and find the right spot to watch what I wanted to watch.

Thank you for the kind words.

As far as the episode timestamps for discussion segments, that's something we can do. I'll talk to Justin and make sure we start adding that to our descriptions and possibly at the beginning with annotations so people can skip ahead to segments they want to hear about if they aren't watching some of the other anime shows we're discussing.

To everyone else,

Keep the feedback rolling in!

Just watched, pretty good. My favorite parts are:
1) No people cursing every 5 seconds. I don't mind some cursing but some other programs/podcast are a bit ridiculous with the subject.
2) Not too much yelling. Similar reason than before I don't mind some yelling once in a while but constant yelling it's unpleasant specially if you are using headphones.
3) Not condescending tone. I've been watching anime since the first Dr. Slump episode air in Spain many years ago. I love to hear someone else's opinion but I don't want to hear a teenager giving me a lecture of "what anime is really about". The tone of the show is friendly and unpretentious.
4) No talking over each other.
5) No inside/cryptic jokes that nobody else understands.
The only thing that I will try to fix a bit:
1) Volume of the speakers. The quality of the sound is fine but the volume is quite different from one person to the other one. For example during the 1st episode, the volume of Margaret Krohn's mic (@PurrfectStorm) sounds louder than the rest (or the volume of the rest is lower one of the two ).
2) Maybe some short presentation of who is who in the show. At least first name.
3) Is there an audio only version of the show? I like the video version but sometimes when I'm grinding level in the generic JRPG of my choice I like to have an mp3 version to listen to.
Looking forward to the next episode!

Thank you for the feedback, were happy to hear that the pros outweigh the cons so far.

1) I will look into this, since it could be everyone's individual mic volume output

2) we usually do that for each show by telling you the name & twitter handle, though some guests twitters are just their alias & have nothing to do with their name. If I misunderstood then Q a rewording or more specifics might help me.

3) easiest way is to get YTD(youtube downloader) then you can just download & convert the file to mp3 then put it on your ipod or anything else. We will look into if their is a hosting site to where we can put it up and then maybe just put a direct link in the description as well.

Glad your enjoying so far as we have made many improvements from feedback that ya'll will see in Ep.2

I enjoyed it. I thought the audio levels were better that was one issue I had where it was at random levels. One of the host mics weren't the best, but hey I got use to it. I wish you guys talked about other shows as well because in the background template there are some shows that you guys don't discuss. Anyways I still enjoy it, but there was no news talk.(I guess because it was almost reaching 2 hours or just nothing interesting in the CR news)

Let me just start off by saying that I like what you guys are doing. Having two hosts with two interchangeable guests every week is an interesting concept. I actually really enjoy that you guys went with that as it gives the audience a set of fresh opinions every show while also keeping familiarity with the hosts. That being said, I just have a few more things I'd like to add.

- Appreciate you adding the time stamps in the description. Also glad to see the little Crunchy Report intro return in Episode 3 since it was absent in Episode 2.
- I know you guys have your 5 shows that you talk about every week. I think it's good to stick with the choices you've made but I'd also really like to hear opinions about other shows. Instead of just suggesting another show to discuss, I'd like to throw a different suggestion your way. Either before or after you talk about the 5 main simulcasts, you go around and ask everyone what their favorite episode from any series was in that particular week. I think that gives you room for diversity every week.

Lastly, keep up the good work. I hope you guys continue to improve and that you'll keep gaining new viewers every week. It's not always the easiest thing to do but I'm glad to see you guys really enjoying what you're doing. I'll be sticking around for the ride!

Side note(s): Thanks for the comment shoutouts in Episode 2.

We have plans to add some new shows to our portfolio on top of the original Crunchy Report show which covers the 5 new simulcasts (chosen by the community), 1 thread and 1 news post, so your wish may come true! It's something we want to do in the future, but right now we have scheduling problems as is - getting new faces each week and finding times that we are all available. Once we get this show down, we'll definitely add some side shows in!

In regards to the News Post on episode 3, the reason we didn't have one was just as you expected - nothing super interesting to discuss at the time.

Check out what I told Globenstuff above.

Also, I don't think adding that bit (favorite episode suggestion) in the beginning would be very good for the show format unfortunately. The reason why is because the show is already quite long and the intro itself is a bit longer than I'd like it to be. I think once we get the Weekly Crunchy Report episode down, we can start doing some side shows that can incorporate other animes, manga, news, etc. I know that's something Justin and I would both love to do, but we want to make sure that even our side shows are the best quality possible, so let's get this first show down and improved to the best of our ability and then start adding on.

Also, no problem about the shoutouts! We're so glad everyone has been welcoming, helpful and supportive! Thank you all. =D

BossNasti linked me on Twitter to your first podcast and I enjoyed it! I like that you focused a lot on the "Crunchyrollers" (I LOVE that term!!) and my favorite part was the comments from the community!

A well structured podcast that was still entertaining and informative. Great job!

Just subscribed a few minutes ago, after watching Ep. 3. It's great to see this kind of user participation. The best part was the mutual respect among the main hosts and the guests during the discussions.

I'll look forward to seeing more from you guys!

Were glad to hear some are checking out the show after hearing about it on different social networks. Yea I heard the term "Rollers" one day from a random post I saw on the cr forums & found it really catchy. The comment section we found was a lot like funny reddit comments in that if you ever go through a front page reddit post and scroll down through the comments it's literally a comedy show.lol

Thank you so much for your feedback.

Were glad to hear that, initially when I posted a thread about the concept of this shows 4 months ago it was more of to gauge the interest level of some & if it wasn't for the positive interest in if something like this ever was created, I'm not sure if we'd still be doing this.

Thank you so much for your feedback, were glad to see rollers enjoying what we've come up with so far to interact with the community. We take time to explain what the show is about & hope that guests we have come on watch at least 1 episode to get an understanding of how we go about discussions.

Were always looking to improve each show as we take time to review before/after each episode.

Nice job on episode 4, guys! I watched more of this episode than I have any previous.

Pretty good discussion on fanservice, cheers to Margaret for arguing (mostly) against fanservice.

Looks like fun, wish I had all my stuff with me so I could join in as a guest sometime. Maybe when I get home...

<3

Fan-service is definitely an interesting topic. I wish I wasn't so sick. I feel like I didn't cover everything I wanted to on this topic. By then, my fever was in full motion! Haha.

You should get some gear - mic, webcam and Skype - together and join us! :D
