I create things because nobody will create them for me @____@
Plus, doesn't it feel nice to be in control of something in your life once in a while?

"I JUST MADE A HAMMER. OMG YAY!!! Now I don't need to go to the shops to buy one!"

I think because if I don't think, I might get run over by a passing car. And you know how dangerous they are, honey, they can turn you into a PANCAKE with the sunsrays in your face and you'd be like... Meat patty.

WHO WANTS TO BE MEAT PATTY? Not I!

Art in random places are nice. At least you won't see so much just everyday construction and out of the corner of your eyes, you have this amazing picture of a lion's mouth wide open. YOU'D JUMP RIGHT? THEN YOU'D LAUGH LIKE CRAZY, RIGHT???

It's pure entertainment, practical purpose, and more usage of brain. Humans are curious creatures, aren't they?

I disagree. I don't think evolution is the cause of peoples' creativity. What is?

DELUSION. Most people are under the impression that they're special, or that the things they do matter. Hey, anyone can change the world.

Except they can't. Doing something important or meaningful requires talent and/or training, as well as being in the right place at the right time.

As for creation of works of art, purely for creation's sake? Boredom, free will, or vision.

Because I exist, I create. It doesn't matter if the things I make fade in time, as long as I know I have existed. Therefore, I create to prove that I exist.

From a functional standpoint, spoilers make you go slower, but a functional one gives you more high speed stability ^.^

As for why people make stuff,

I do it out of boredom, necessity or curiosity.

Well ok that is certainly a very unique way to see things lol.

EVOLUTION. Only humans have creativity. Flowers become pretty but not for creativity its for practicality . The more colours the flower has the more insects come and help the plants grow. Why do we become pretty? Its because we feel like it.
I think most become pretty to attract the opposite sex (in some cases same sex) or to just get attention/noticed its the exact same principal as the flower.

There are also animals that use sticks rocks etc to help them archive there goals granted its not rocket science but they did get creative.
Also what about birds?I mean i don't think i could just go and use nothing but sticks i find and make a stable nest out of it somewhere high up on a tree.
Bees build whole hives ants build a huge structure where they live in countless animals dig vast underground systems hell there are so many examples.

Your McD example is also just the same as the flower the flower is flashy to get insects to spread MCD is flashy to get customers its the same thing.

I Phones were not the first smart phones they just were the ones to make them popular and no Apple did not just out of boredom decide to invest millions to improve on Smartphones and make Billions with them they did so to make money so that they could survive.

I am sorry but i don't see one of your points making any sense and i do mean no disrespect but they just don't seem all that well thought out.

Humans create things cause they are stupid thats the only reason all other creatures knew better and still would live a very happy life if we humans would not destroy there homes and our planet with our creations.

Evolution still doesn't explain why we create things. Evolution is just a theory so asking "why do people make and create things" is like asking "why are we here and where are we going after we die?" Nobody knows and nobody will ever know so just accept the fact and be grateful that we can think and be creative just because, like someone said, we are selfish creations. (see? we are also a creation so there must be a Creator out there and it is not evolution).

Now seriously, I consider myself an artist because I like to draw, I collect BJDs and create them however I want while giving life to the characters I created in my mind using my imagination. I do it because it makes me feel free and be myself (self expression). Hope that answers your question.

That's a stupid question.

Fact is, we do it out of practicality. We started like monkeys, using sticks and other things for advanced ways to fling around shit. Then, as we were shit flinging, we wondered how these sticks could be used to help us. And that's what errything does. It helps us to do lots of neat shit that other things can't do- like give meaning to this shitty life.

Ta fucking da. No philosophical bullshit with this one, it's just biology.

People create things because we have a desire to seem important. For the most part, we want to stand out in some way. Creating things, like a sculpture, a food dish, a drawing, a computer, music, an ero doujinshi, or even another person i guess kindof fulfills this desire. By making something that can only be attributed to our name, something that is unique that only we made, even if it's modeled after something else, people make themselves special. "I made this song" "I made this pie" "I drew her boobs so beautifully dude this is gonna be on FAKKU". By being the creator of something, I guess it gives us pride, because it shows what we can do.

People have been making and creating and questioning the world but has anyone have 1 definitive answer.
I believe there are 4 sub category's

1. Boredom.

2. The will to be creative or unique.

3. Practicality.

4. Curiosity.

Why does Mcdonalds have a great big yellow M? its because they want to stand out and be creative so they can attract customers. AKA Point 2.

Why did people make cars with a spoiler? because they wanted the car to go faster. AKA Point 3.

Why do people make iPhones? Boredom. They made these smartphones with other capabilities than that of a normal phone. AKA Point 1.

give your own opinions to this topic please

Hoohoo, this is fantastic, I just want to point out that everything you said is incorrect, or at least only partially correct.

"Flowers become pretty but not for creativity its for practicality . The more colours the flower has the more insects come and help the plants grow." || "its because they want to stand out and be creative so they can attract customers. AKA Point 2. "

MCdonalds is attracting people to be able to make more money. MCDonalds is akin to a flower, while we humans would be the bee.

"because they wanted the car to go faster. AKA Point 3. "

Because they wanted to make the car go faster, yes. But why did they want the car to go faster? So it would be worth more, and win more races. Again, they wanted to make more money.

"Boredom. They made these smartphones with other capabilities than that of a normal phone. AKA Point 1. "

Incorrect. They created smartphones because they foresaw the success of the iphone. They wanted money. People BUY the smartphones because they want to fit in.

"Only humans have creativity"

And then you're wrong here. Other animals have creativity as well. The difference is that we have a greater intelligence. Every living animal has the ability to create things. And pretty much every living animal does, they create a home, a nest, a burrow. They think up fantastic methods of killing their prey, or guarding their young.

Humans are just the most intelligent, they aren't the only things that have the ability to create things. This entire thread is entirely off point.
