Have u ever owned a car b4? At 13 im guessing not.

NO you learn it in science the reason why they go oval is because of distortion ( Mechanical Energy)

Explain to me how a slick is an oval when it heats up. Due to the tire rotating at high speeds, the tire making an oval shape would just be as possible as making a square. It makes a circular shape because it's spinning, even though it's circular to begin with.

How true ( Though I'm not old enough to drive, I still know a fair bit)

Back to the question the real reasons of burnouts have already been stated. To warm up the tires and clean them of foreign objects (pebbles ect.) before a race. Mostly though, they are used by people to act cool and impress others with their tyre destroying ability.

good tires are expensive . My tires run me about 320 for the rears and 280 for the fronts. I know theres more out there that cost alot more.

What he stated was the correct. Your stating that it becomes oval shaped in which it does not! His qoute "Due to the tire rotating at high speeds, the tire making an oval shape would just be as possible as making a square." meaning it is impossible as its original shape is a circle. So in your last post post you are basically saying i dont know how it works out and revolutionofone does so im just agreeing with him.

Edit: put in wrong user.
