[long list of anime shows]

Hey I liked my response, lol. OP hasn't really given us much that we can respond to.

If I were to reword it, I'd say, "I disagree, also there's hardly any sports anime. Your one backup to your argument is silly. There's gotta be at least a few out of [the list] that you don't think are a joke to anime fans."

I mean, the thread can't be much more than a difference of opinions thread. Should I say why I think each of those animes in my list is good, and why he should give them a shot? Lol

No one is interested in your statistics, (Kami). Let me tell you
something pal, I'm better than that. I will not- I shall not, I cannot
stoop to your level. They assured me that this was a (forum) that
understood (anime), where we can debate mano-a-mano, and I find myself
having statistics hurled at me like so much stale confetti. We cannot
boil (anime) down to numbers! -Congressman Alex Shrub from Vice City and my personal hero.

There is no amount of numbers that will change people minds was where I was aiming my sarcasm. I was watching anime during the so-called "Golden Age" and there were plenty of bad ones. There is also the fact that Wings of Honneamise and Akira were box office disasters that were trounced by a moe tale of a little witch and her cat. None of that matters, but I digress. I just like quoting Alex Shrub whenever possible.

Edit: About Stark700, how did he get that gig?

I know. Like what happened to classic non-sports anime from the "golden age" like Slam Dunk, Eyeshield 21, or the more modern Prince of Tennis?

I was recently at an EVA 3.0 event and the entire theatre was sold out.

That was more of a joke. He just watches a lot of anime, that it almost seems he does for a living.

no offense stark, chill guy

Yes, but would Burn Up W sell out a theatre? Meh, I can't deny that to an extent quantity has replaced quality, but that's the way markets work.

Edit: so ka, he does seem to get around

At least we can all agree that we need more board game anime/dramas like 81diver, Shion no Ou, Akagi, and Saki.

Sports are WAY too action-y to be suitable for animation.
