I'm not talking about just your personal favorites unless you consider that the show you think is perfect.
*sometimes your favorites aren't shows you actually consider perfect*
Like I really like Arakawa Under the Bridge and it is one of my faves but I don't consider it perfect.
But you might really think your favorite show is perfect. That's perfectly ok too of course if that's what you really think.

I'm talking about shows you seriously consider perfect, that you would or have given a perfect score to and maybe given it nothing but praise from here to tomorrow. That you cannot find anything to fault it with or where the goods of the show drastically overshadowed whatever was wrong with it to the point that you forget about the areas that were lacking.

I'm also not asking you to name me a show that you think others would think is perfect, I'm asking you, the member posting in his thread, what you personally think is a show that is perfect. Don't let any one else's opinion dissuade you from what you really think.

If you think School Days is a perfect anime, go for it. If you think some random 5 minute per episode anime is perfect, go for it. But please keep it non-hentai. Let's not go there here lol

But whatever you think is a perfect show (or if you have multiple ones) at least shortly explain yourself why you think it is perfect. What about that particular show made it stand out from the rest, to the point where you consider it the cream of the crop?

And if you don't have a "perfect show", shortly explain yourself why not.

And please don't argue with other members or say things like "your taste in anime sucks" or "you think that show is perfect?! OMG what's wrong with you smh". I'm just looking for your honest opinions to this thread question so I don't want this to turn into a needless flame war with some of you. If you agree with someone's opinion on their perfect show, that is perfectly fine. Just keep things civil.

For me:
I actually have a recent one that blew my mind and almost every other anime I've seen recently. Baccano! was the show. I had really liked Durarara and considered that a very good show. I had heard some good things about Baccano for a while now from some people I know so I decided to go and try it out.
It blew Durarara out of the water. The wide variety of main characters managed to be all interesting and seemed to actually have something important to do in the show so that they're not just relegated to the background after a short while. Notice how I said the characters were all interesting, I compare it to Durarara that did a similar technique but the main characters there weren't able to keep my attention other than a select 2 or 3. They were too easily overshadowed by someone with a bigger personality or presence (AKA the 2 or 3 characters I mentioned before). Baccano seemed to have no problem making almost every character as insane and impactful as the next. The seemingly convoluted plot slowly unraveled with each episode and each different perspective helped to not only shed light on the show but even increase the mystery of the show. I found the fact that all the events from separate years were all tied together to be very satisfying to see unfold and to see how each separate action in one time affected the next seemingly unrelated event.

You don't have to write as much as I did, I just got a little carried away. One short sentence, maybe two or three would be ok.

Well I agree that Baccano was one of the good animes not just because of the whole developed cast but mostly the plot was actually an interesting one. I haven't even finished Durarara to be honest not just because I don't like it or what not but that's a different topic. I can't truly think of a 'perfect' anime right now but there are some that the story line, cast & characters, art, soundtrack and mostly the whole piece of work is composed beautifully somehow I really think Sunday Without God was somehow a very well done anime. Not just because the art and story line kept my attention but overall it doesn't bore me. If you think of the animes that are quite heartwarming like: Kino no Tabi, Shinigami no Ballad, Angel Beats and Hanasaku Iroha then those of course are also one of the good ones and because they all somehow have a sense of depth to the story and characters unlike most animes now that are just for fan service. Of course many animes out there are still quite good but I would not say perfect.

If Arakawa made a S3 or a better S2 it wouldve made my list, but still awesome I have to make a revisit soon.

For me, other than the no brainer DBZ, Gintama. It hits everything for me. Its serious, hilarious, has action and always catches me off guard x]

I have to go with Evangelion as the perfect anime for me. I think this because it has a little of everything that I want in a great anime, complex characters, crazy story, and it has deeper meanings than just what is on the surface. You can still debate the meaning behind all of the episodes and movies.

Other strong contenders would be:

Monster - another amazing show with one of the best protagonist and antagonist combinations in any show out there. Its got a little bit of everything; creepy, dark, emotional and just downright awesome. I find it to really be one of the, if not the most underrated anime out there.

Monogatari Series - A show that really took me by surprise. I never seen anything like it before, and there really isn't much else out there you can compare it to. Amazing characters that you can really get into (fall in love with!!). Love the supernatural settings, but it doesn't really take it over the top like other shows that deal with similar topics.

really felt Steins;Gate was close to perfect, add the movie Fuka Ryōiki no Dejavu and it pretty much has the closure that you would ever want in a great series.

Clannad, and Gurren Lagann. These to shows represent how to do their genres perfectly. I'd go so far as to say Clannad is the best love story ever told, and Gurren is in the running for the best coming of age story.

For me, 10/10 is not a masterpiece, i called it above decent.

11/10 is the type of anime i`m looking for (Examples : Angel Beats, Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, Gintama, Jojo Bizarre Adventure, GJ-bu, Nichijou, To Aru Series, Yuru Yuri, Steins;Gate, Baccano!, Natsume Yuujinchou, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, Hidamari Sketch, Non Non Biyori, Girls und Panzer, Shingeki no Kyojin)

20/10 is what considered Masterpiece (Example : Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood)

and last at least

∞/10 is what i called ''Perfect redeeming qualities'' or should i say my most favorite anime of all time, that`s Puella Magi Madoka Magica (If you don`t agree, then read Draconismarch`s review about Madoka Magica on MAL).

Don't feel like writing sentences but here are my 10s.

One Piece + movie 6 and Nami special
Cross Game
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Nodame Cantabile + finale
Hajime no Ippo
Tsumiki no Ie
Korekuraide Utau
Dance, Dance, Dance
Nichijou
Tokyo Disney Resort: Yume ga Kanau Basho

It's quite a small list right now compared to the amount of anime I've watched. But all but one were made my 10s after rewatching, so I have to rewatch the rest of my 8 - 10s to figure out if anymore are 10s.
