Seishun Pop!

Couldn't find a discussion thread for this, so I took the liberty of making it, so yeah.. nearing the end of chapter 36, well.. didn't think they'd go this route but it's definitely gotten more interesting.

Genres: Seinen /romance

I like the story though seems to have turned into hentai halfway through though.

This one is pretty messed up. I know where this is headed, and it's safe to say that the readers will definitely have left Kansas by the end. Still, the artwork is good and the story is definitely interesting.

I stated reading but never really got into it personally, was always taking breaks or checking the time when reading it, just felt bored. Also didn't really care for the well endowed classmate friend (can't remember her name for the life of me), she seemed a little too... i dunno... clingy or something?

I personally think all seinen genre(s) are good reads.

With it's adult undertones and illicit themes, this is certainly aimed at the mature readers. But I think it would be best if you read it yourself to find out.

I kind of fine with things as long as story makes sense and it doesn't have random "scenes"

I'm just going to say this manga is actually mediocre imo. Plot is a bit twisted/repetitive right now and the fan service is much more than I had thought. Then again, I kinda expected it.

Going to have to disagree with you on that. There's not much repetition as opposed the advancement of the plot. The ecchi scenes are there for a reason, and it's role is to induce the sexual tension involved in an illicit theme such as incest.

The current chapters always felt repetitive to me.

Idk where the plot is going to but right now feels like almost the same thing on a weekly basis. I know about the ecchi scenes and it was easy to get used to considering what I had expected. As for the tragic heroine part, you could be right but then again, it could go in a different direction. The love triangle feels odd and feels like it's destroying the characters rather than developing them. Two love interests but only one so far is getting all the spotlight and hogging the mc. There's also a huge change in one of them..it's like they're not even trying to hide it anymore.

So far, I find it mediocre and nothing special. It's not a terrible series though and I like some parts of the manga still.

I didn't see any repeats other than the sex scenes, in which case, actually drives the plot forward by increasing the discords between the sibling's relationship, and could also be considered as a sense of foreshadowing if you've kept up with the current chapters. Anyways, here's to hoping that my conjecture is correct, tragic heroines make the best plot device.

The love triangle feels odd and feels like it's destroying the characters rather than developing them.

It's has not been developed as a love triangle yet, but the tension is there, and Eve is starting to realize or rather know's her intentions and is holding herself back for her sense of morals gets the best of her. Sakuta's character has gone through major development after pursuing a relationship with Ayano and reconciling with his mom. As I see it now, Ayano's character has always seemed to me as one-dimensional, like a helpless girl who falls in love and finally gets her feelings reciprocated, I could tell in the beginning ,with the mood/tone of this manga, that the author never intended for her to be that way forever.

I'm talking about the manga as it is now, rather than what lies ahead. The development is weak for the two heroines. Either way, the love triangle feels blend and lacks development or progress. She's also becoming like a girl that was initially shy to almost a yandere like/obsessive person carving on affections.

As for tragic heroine, we don't know what's going to happen next. Foreshadowing? There are some cases of those but felt more like imaginative rather than realistic as this love triangle has been.

You even mention the one dimensional character part with the cliches. Oh there's the mood going on alright but it doesn't suit my tastes. Like I said before, it's not a terrible manga but not what I would praise for what it is so far. (again I'm talking about what it has shown so far rather than what lies ahead, potentially)

I dunno about you but I like a deconstruction of a heroine.

Like I mentioned before, these are merely conjectures based on recent events. Also, it's not a love triangle as of yet, Eve has only implied her intentions, but is not yet willing to pursue anything further because she is constrained by her sense of morality.

EXACTLY she's the only one who did not receive any sort of noteworthy development, the author seemed to create her just so he could use her as a plot device to further the relationship between Eve and Sakuta.

By the way, I'm not trying to change your opinions in any way, because we all got different tastes. This is just me providing my take on what's going on so far.
