Is there a way to stretch videos? I'm using an old laptop (the resolution is 1024x768) connected in my TV. I've black bars at the top and the bottom of my videos.

Thanks.

I assume your TV is a widescreen HDTV, is that correct?

If so, I assume your laptop isn't making use of the full resolution, and you actually have a black box surrounding all sides of the image, not just the top and bottom. If that is that case, most HDTV's have a menu function to "zoom" the image.

It would be better to get your laptop to recognize the native resolution of your TV, but on some very old graphics chips, the support for wide screens simply isn't there. It would be worth checking if a later video driver is available.
