Any punk band is fine with me. I like Pennywise, I love Comeback Kid, AFI (though I also like their experimental albums), and Rise Against (I like their alternative stuff, too). Hed P.E. have kick ass punk songs starting with their 4th album and beyond. Hell, even some of my fav non-punk bands play a few songs or covers.

I like Suicidal Tendencies, but not sure if they count since they have songs that carry a punk flavor while their other songs are metal flavored (either way, that's pretty cool).

I highly recommend Skindred. They blend reggae, punk, and metal nicely. Criminally underrated band.

Geeze everyone loves anti-flag, rise against I guess I just suck. no use for a name was on phat records right can't really say I ever heard of them but I know of them. h2o classic, pennywise cool, sex pistols will always have a soft spot in my heart but the Ramones came first. I am also into hardcore.

Pennywise is cool, comeback kid is melodic hardcore they suck, AFI never really cared for the early stuff and later stuff sucks even more, Rise against whatever I think i said I didn't like them. Hed P.E. is rap core not punk how they relate to the genre other than ripping off The Exploited logo and street punk clothing in their videos is beyond me.

Suicidal is classic Hardcore/crossover they are pretty sweet.

Nu metal radio rock crap. I'll pass.

I listen to punk rock, ska punk, hardcore, street punk, Oi!, even some good pop punk and many other sub-genres. I grew up with punk music since my early teens!

Havin' said that, here you go some ska punk.

I understand if you don't like Hed P.E. and Skindred, but mislabeling them as "rapcore" and "nu metal"-- detestable made up genre terms NOT coined by musicians, no less -- is like gossip which is different than saying "they suck".

Those are exactly the genres those bands fall into. Nothing wrong with that I just don't like them or the genre and mainstream radio play and such.

I still listen to stuff for when I was a teen & early 20s, not plugged into the scene anymore so I have no idea what it's like. I listen mostly to Oi, skatepunk, ska influenced punk, etc. I'm more of a simple (maybe purist?) type of mind when it comes to punk, 3 chords & lets go. Tho a message thrown in here and a few riffs aren't bad either. If I want to listen to an instrumental masterpiece then I'd go over to European metal or prog rock.

Some of my favs growing up were: Misfits, Ramones, Social Distortion, Bad Religion, NOFX, Bad Brains Op Ivy, Bouncing Souls, Pennywise, Rancid, Descendents, Screeching Weasel, Jawbreaker, Millencolin, Osker, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, etc...

Kind of all over the place ^0^

I don't usually listen to punk music...I don't really know why. I feel like its too much raw emotion and anger and not quite enough musical talent. I'd say the only maybe punk band I listen to is Building Better Bombs, mostly because of the lead singer's other projects
