No it's an homage and non-stop callout those shows, with Shoujomorphs of the mecha instead of the mecha.

If you want a straight female adaption, there's a manga called Mazinger Girls that floats around the usual places. This is more a mecha-musume show like strike witches, with some moe and a lot of parody of the basic ideas of Nagai's mecha anime.
