Hello anyone that reads this.
I have been writing for over a decade and drawing for a large part of the decade as well. Unfortunately/fortunately my writing skills progressed substantially(no ego ), however my drawing just doesn't meet the bar i desire for my manga.
So in attempt to finally get these ideas in my head onto paper i have decided my best option to do a collaboration with an artist. Not that i have a problem with that. Some things i desire from my possible future partner is that they are SERIOUS, i do not plan on doing any of this for profit but if i form a special bond with my partner i may want to pursue a more professional partnership and possibly get published . So please take my offer seriously. Id like to come out with a chapter (25-35 pages) if possible (i understand if im asking alot ) once a month to start. I also plan to publish the chapters in Crunchyrolls' new "Artist Alley". Please feel free to reply in this thread or even pm me. Thank you very much for considering this.

You want someone to draw out your chapters... for free?
If so that's a pretty bold request.

I'm looking for someone to create manga with. I'm looking for a partnership. Not just draw out my chapters bun to take part in creating the Story. I could pay. but then i would feel like there would be less of a bond, id be someone's boss and it's just be a job to them. I don't want that i want to form a friendship and create it together. I want someone that i could possibly go for publishing with.

Okay here's the thing. That's fine and all, but honestly it sounds like you're trying to form an excuse as to why you shouldn't pay. I'm not saying that's what you're doing, but that it just sounds like it. You just said "I could pay". Then why not do it? Your bond with the artist and paying them are almost two different things. The bond comes from how much you guys will actually like working with each other and how much it motivates the artist to do quality work to bring your story to visual life. That's how you make a friendship, they find enough creativity in your work to make good enough work that you find creative as well.

And you are creating manga with them when you pay them. The paying means you respect their role enough to compensate for the hard work they are doing for YOU. In the end not paying them puts their position at a disadvantage. It's not going to be some easy task for them and honestly unless they are already your friend, I don't see how you're going to form a bond with anyone if your request basically boils down to "I have this story. Will you please draw it for free?" Someone who is seriously looking to become a manga artist and are already proficient in art isn't job searching to "form bonds". If someone actually does take your proposition up, eventually they will realize they could be making money for their work, but instead you're simply refusing to pay them just cause.

When directors and movie actors form friendships and the director starts asking said actor to star in more movies from them, you think it went "Hey I have this movie idea, will you care to use your acting skills to star in it for free?" No, because why work for free, when he could find someone with the same goal, who wants to make a good friendship if all goes well, AND will pay them for their effort.

I really do understand what you're saying but that's not how it works man, sorry.

Well there's always this (I own this book and the last edition): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0932102166/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And it basically boils down to how much you're willing to charge per page and how demanding the artist is pay wise.
If it's a well known artist, then they probably don't draw for cheap. If it's someone who is starting out and shares the same dreams as you, then you can pay less. Paying them less isn't taking the cheap route, but instead basing it on popularity. If you own a deviant, make a thread there requesting an artist and how much you'll pay per page. There's plenty of aspiring manga artist there and not to mention an abundance of quality drawers.

Make a demand to see previous work or an actual decent amount of work on their page so you can accurately judge who has the skillset and art style you desire. Make sure they are serious though and can handle actually having to make a full chapter in a decent timeframe. Some say they are but may it may turn out to be more than they can chew.

Once you have enough people willing, then pretty much interview them and negotiate prices. Look at all the available options, from skills to prices and then figure out which person evens out to suit your needs.

Seriously, this again?! TJackz pretty much summed up everything I was going to say so I'll just leave this here for anyone considering this offer:

If you want to live out your Bakuman fantasy, find a friend that's a decent artist and grow together.
