Longest book you ever read & was it worth it?.

I guess this is a quality over quantity type inquiry. Just because a book is long, doesn't make it good.

Anyway, the longest book I've ever read was Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand. Clocking in at a staggering 1070 pages. It's an amazing book, no doubt. I feel it could have been shorter, without sacrificing any of the story. Granted it's not something you can just pick-up and head to the john with. I literally had to google like a billion words, through out. TMI. But whatev's it was still good, and I'd recommend it. I'm thinking I'll get to The Fountainhead (same author) eventually.

next. (Feel review your choice also, if you want. It's a free interwebz)

Under The Dome. I tore through that book. It had the trademark disappointing ending King is known for.

Green Eggs & Ham by Dr. Seuss was probably the longest book I've ever read, and yes, it was worth it.

Off the top of my head, I am not sure, but I will say The Lord Of The Rings, including all the appendices. I think that is well over 1200 pages. And yes, I think it was worth it. I have reread the book many times.

I believe the longest book I have read was The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson at ~1280 pages and it is easily one of my favorite books, but maybe I am biased since he is my favorite author of all time.

I think the harry potter books were the longest books I've ever read ( not for sure though) and I really love them. But I've read a lot of other books and I don't think the length makes it better. I just like thick books cause its just that longer till I have to get a new one.

I read The Bible cover to cover. It was worth it because I got paid to do it.

For my own pleasure? Probably War and Peace. Several times.

Vladimir Tod Series book 5. It wasn't exactly well-written but I liked the story.

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas. The Oxford unabridged paperback is 1095 pages and totally worth it!

I've always heard that that was good. I'll add it to my to-do list.

And after you read it, I recommend that you watch Gankutsuou.
