Jojo's Bizarre Adventure episode 10
After the first arc ends, we're introduced to the original main character's grandson (oh, and old Speedwagon!).
"Over the top" is an understatement.

I need to add Episode 7 of Kids on the Slope to my previous comment. That performance was just so perfect....

I don't remember a lot of individual episodes, just scenes.

Recent ones that I actually do remember would be:
Hunter x Hunter 108 and 112
Aku no Hana 7
Space Brothers 43 and 44 (also adding 88, that ep was absolutely brilliant)
Kyousougiga 1
Kinmoza 1

Hunter x Hunter, episodes 116.

Might be the best piece of dramatic screen work I have seen in my entire freaking life.

Thinking back, here are the episodes that score a perfect 10:

Code Geass final episode
Kokoro Connect ep. 9
Accel World ep. 5
Sword Art Online ep. 14
Samurai Flamenco ep. 16
Attack on Titan ep. 2
Genshiken Nidaime ep. 11
Clannad After Story ep. 16
Madoka Magica ep. 12

There are more, but these are the ones that immediately come to mind.

THIS. i scrolled through this thread specifically to see if anyone else would mention it. if you suggest anything besides nisemonogatari episode 8 you are either kidding yourself or haven't seen it.

(on a serious note, katanagatari ep. 12 is almost certainly a 10/10 (funnily enough by the same author :o) )

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, episode 62. The end of the final battle, just so epic. Though really, anything from the last 15 or so aren't far behind it.

The final episode of Code Geass R2. That ending...amazing. Completly unexpected, but fit perfectly.

Attack on Titan episode 1. I don't think I've ever been hooked quite like that. While I thought the show was quite good, its flaws brought it down from what the opening set up.

I'll toss the fifth episode of Black Rock Shooter into the ring.

I've been recently reminded that it's one of my favorites, particularly for dialogue/juxtaposition.

Any Space Brothers episode is worth a 10 imo, however, recently, I REALLY enjoyed World Conquest Zveda Plot episode 3.

Yup.

That was no emphatic enough. Let's just put it this way.

You're missing out on some of the best combined writing/directing/art/sound choices that have ever been put together. It's absurd how good this anime is. Just ridiculous.

That episode was so great. I'd been following Genshiken for a while, and I had that built up character feels, yah know?

And, when the episode came straight out of nowhere, I was floored. I rushed to this thread, because I remembered it, to jot down my thoughts ON THE MOMENT. I had barely let the ending roll before I was typing.

I'ma go back a page and read my thoughts on it.

Not that I disagree on the power of the moment, but that episode felt rather flat by itself. The event, the characters, the profuse emotions, and amazing visual and auditory sensations were great.

But....it really relies on key previous episodes...that came out a few weeks ago. Specifically the King centered ones, THOSE were the 10/10's to me!
