Anime = Air = Needed to live

I love anime, especially the slice of life kind. I learn different kinds of things from them and I get a laugh out of them.

One thing I learned is

Also, even though this post if first than AnimeKami, I agree with the post below.

Highschool became a bit harder in a way, because this year, I've been spending all of my time watching anime instead of studing... My GPA went down from a 4.1 to a 4.0... So kids, spend time more wisely... And school comes first. Even if your asian. (sorry for steryotyping... xD)

Do not watch anime in college.

Anime makes life harder.

edit:

I do not believe I ever stated anything in my post about having poor grades and anime.

I did however, state that watching anime in college makes it a lot harder than it needs to be. My personal experience was balancing my time as a full time student, a part-time job, diabetic and heart disease research and holding a volunteering position at a level one trauma hospital for four years. The amount of anime I watch caused me to be sleep deprived most of the time, but I still kept up with 90% of anime over 4 years which is 12 seasons of anime. Why? I like anime...

For the record, I have a degree in engineering.

well i watch anime allot and my grades are fine and a 4.1 to a 4.0 come on now you're being unreasonable this topic doesn't have to be about the hard times there have to be times where anime was good like those epic moments where your so excited you cant breath because you feel like you just watched the coolest thing ever. Its just how you balance yourself don't blame anime on your grades that's like blaming TV for bad grades ya i know anime is different now tell me why anime is better than TV {EXPRESS YOURSELF}
put some thought into your replys guys

Shrug, I find anime entertaining. A deep rich storyline combined with the inherent lack of fine details that animation results in makes it more immersive than live action shows. Is about it.

The take home message is, "watch anime at your own peril."

You can love it (anime), but sometimes there are priorities before anime.

And all this time you are just a derelict that watched too much Anime for his own good. "LAWL"

Seriously though, after reading this, I have some new found respect for you and your game because that there is nothing short of both loony and pure hustle.

I am still trying to guess what kind of job you do. "LAWL"

As for the op, Anime is for fun and entertainment. I watch it like I do basketball, when I am in the flow of things. It is not really a big chunk personally, but I do take in the Anime internet culture for the lulz like my other hobbies and such.

No offense, but you are 18. You *still* don't know how your life has turned out. With luck, you'll live a long time, and hopefully, many things, not just anime, will influence and affect your life.

And it's good to have hobbies and passions, it's not so good to have obsessions.

Nothing in particular. Or at least, it has had no different effect than the books I've read and movies I've seen. My friends have had more influence on my life. My mistakes, most of all.
