Hamatora. It's like Getbackers 2.0. Watch it naow.

Also, A Letter to Momo. One of the best anime movies I've ever seen. You might want to have a box of tissues on standby for the ending, though.

I have to agree with Strike Hamatora is definitely the best my favorite for the spring season

You guys should also check out Space Dandy while your at it, It's alot different from whats airing right now and if your tired of these highschool animes like me you'll love it

Nobunaga the fool and buddy complex are pretty mediocre but since their mecha anime I'm obligated to watch them

I keep hearing a lot about Space Dandy. I'll try and check it out next week maybe.

I love mecha too, but God damn are the stories in the ones this season bad. I can't wait for Gundam Unicorn to come out. And I hope the next Gundam series we get isn't as pathetic as the last one.

We really need a new ZOE game. That is one series that I would love to see make a return on the PS4.

Well I really love mecha anime because that was basically the first animes I used to watch as a little kid about 5-6 yrs old.
My dad used to buy all these gundam and super robot vhs's at garage sales and flea markets and we would watch them together on weekends, and I really grew to love those shows even though I had no idea what anime was at the time.

I guess my I've carried on my fascination for mecha to present day, I recognize some of the genres occasional faults but I still love mecha animes irregardless! You should see my room it's full of mecha figures and some posters.

In conclusion i like mechs cuz their awesome...more or less

Personally, I love the technology involved in mecha anime. There's some really cool ideas. Plus, you usually have some fairly serious plots in them. No moe either. And, naturally, the battle scenes are quite a spectical. Watch Gundam Unicorn and tell me it's not gorgeous or memorable.

Normally i would stay away from mecha kuz from me when i watch action animes when they fight i look for the skills and power behind each move but what i see in mecha is a pilot maneuvering their machine, i understand you can out wit / perform the other pilot but in situations where your mecha is being beaten then it gains this massive power up from the passionate yell of the pilot i just dont see how/why that worked. Now granted i know its just a show and there are those shows where een though it happens i still find it entertaining but a majority of the mecha ive seen in the past (which is not alot lol) just put me off when i see them :/ ill still watch mecha every now and then but it would me a rare moment

P.S

Dont laugh / gasp loudly / take a sip of coffee then spit it out at the screen when you read this but.................................................ive never seen any Gundam episodes of any season

Is that wrong

UC (Universal Century) Gundam is a lot less over-the-top than the newer stuff, which is one reason why I love it so much. With any mecha series you need to suspend your disbelief a bit, as there's no way a 50+ meter hunk of metal could actually move or move like it does inside of Earth's atmosphere, but otherwise they're not using any insane stuff like Gundam Seed or anything of the sort.

I think you're really missing out by skipping Gundam entirely just because it has mecha in it. The original Mobile Suit Gundam + Gundam Zeta are two of the best series out there IMO. If you watched those, that would lead really well into Gundam Unicorn.

But, you could always watch Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket. It's a total of 6 episodes and it's pretty stand-alone.

I can tell you, though, that as a UC Gundam fan the first episode of Gundam Unicorn gave me shivers. The characters were powerful and the first time the transformation of the Unicorn happens... man. It's just one of those moments in anime.

Used to play Tf2 a lot, we can play together sometime? And it doesn't have to be only Steam - Origin and other platforms are also fine.
