(Had to move our conversation here)

I had to hold off on watching anime only because of school, taking care of the family, work, traveling a lot-- pretty much life happened. And for the longest time, Crunchyroll was the only streaming site for me to watch anime. I'll look up Hetalia through Netflix.

I watched it on Neon Alley. It's kind of like Nana but with jazz music.

I have to agree with Strike Hamatora is definitely the best my favorite for the spring season

You guys should also check out Space Dandy while your at it, It's alot different from whats airing right now and if your tired of these highschool animes like me you'll love it

Nobunaga the fool and buddy complex are pretty mediocre but since their mecha anime I'm obligated to watch them

I keep hearing a lot about Space Dandy. I'll try and check it out next week maybe.

I love mecha too, but God damn are the stories in the ones this season bad. I can't wait for Gundam Unicorn to come out. And I hope the next Gundam series we get isn't as pathetic as the last one.

What are these Gundam/Mecha things you speak of?

Are you trolling or are you actually serious? Because if you're serious then... you and I need to sit down and have a discussion. And then you're going to watch some anime that I'm going to recommend after that.

Man, that really surprises me. Gundam is a series that's been running for many, many years now in a number of different stories. You have everything from the original Mobile Suit Gundam to more recent anime like Gundam Seed, Gundam Destiny, and the terrible Gundam Age.

But then you have Gundam Unicorn which is absolutely amazing. Gundam focuses on the future where two opposing sides, the Federation of Earth and Zeon (people living in space) end up going to war. In some of the newer anime it's not Zeon, but some other forces, but the setup is usually pretty similar.

The Federation forces usually have a Gundam or Gundams which is typically an ultimate weapon of sorts that is far more powerful than the typical mobile suit. The interesting thing about Gundam is that, while the mech fights are a focus of the series, they tend to put more weight on the emotions of each individual pilot and building up the characters. Sometimes there's some 'space magic' as I call it towards the end of these series as the pilots do crazy shit in their Gundam's when they go over the edge, but that's mostly in the newer series. The older ones are more tame and realistic, which is why I tend to enjoy them more.

And with that being said, let me introduce you to Gundam Unicorn which airs its last episode this coming Spring.

The trailer is in English, but even the English voice overs in this one are really quite good. Also, this trailer does a great job of really showing off the series and the emotion it brings to the table.
