Eh, at the end of the day, "curse" words are just words. They may be overused, but so are other, ordinary words. I don't think it really matters.

Meh it's different for everyone, I myself try to restrain from foul language as much as possible but as I've gotten older it has unfortunately been having an increasing use in my vocabulary.

Yes and a lot of them don't take into consideration the surrounding they are in when they do it.

It's reverse psychology for me. People keep telling me that it is a bad thing, but when I compare it to how it is used, I can't figure out why it is the word as opposed to how it is used.

Yes, it's a generational thing. Back in the 70's, when I was a teen, cursing was rare. It wasn't part of normal conversation.

In the mind of a middle age guy, when someone curses in normal conversation or a post, I think: here is a person with little creativity and self control.

Is the English language so limited that you only one adjective to describe everything?

I don't mind "curse" words, to be honest, but I just get annoyed by hearing the same thing over and over again in rapid-fire succession.

For example:
"Man, I fuckin' went down to the store the other day and this fuckin' guy just fuckin'.. I don't know, man. Fuckin' tried to steal a fuckin' candybar when nobody was lookin'. What a fuckin' retard."

When I hear conversations like this I don't get annoyed because they said "bad" words. I get annoyed because they're morons.

Fuck no.
A word is just a word. The only reason people have problems with them is because we were taught that it was bad.
Innately, it's just a pattern of breath. Perceive it to be no harm and there won't be any.

Yes, I find it tiring to hear. I never liked hearing or speaking foul terms because I felt there are other words to express how you feel and some terms that already have meanings are considered profanity now thanks to uneducated people. I think a individual is ignorant or has a small vocabulary if they have to resort to using profanity constantly.

I believe so. If people want to curse, fine. But to me when someone curses nonstop I feel like it shows no class. I mean cursing if okay and can be funny at times, but if drop the 'eff' bomb every other word I don't find it funny.

Ok situation: If I came up to you and said, "Hey, KrisEkko, your moms a little bitch!" (Sorry, not meaning that at all just an example.) Then you wouldn't fill any sort of anger towards me? Yeah, of course society has put a meaning behind that word hence why it is bad, but curse words are still considered universally 'crude' and the word 'bitch' is still offensive. Even if it is a 'breath of air'.

I dunno about "these days", but some people do curse an awful lot. I find it's mostly the younger crowd, middle school to early college age. Possibly a generational thing, possibly just the natural rebellion of youth.

Then again, my dad's whole family curses like a bunch of sailors. Always have. My little bro cusses a lot, but I swear, my grandpa could put anyone's mouth to shame.

Personally, I used to hate cuss words. I found them vulgar and thought people who used them were just too stupid and/or lazy to use another word. Nowadays, I just don't care. Words are words. I can cuss quite a bit in the right company, but I do think that certain kinds of language have their place. You can cuss all you want around friends and casual company, but it really isn't appropriate around, say, your boss. And excessive cussing can get a lil' bit annoying. It's just repetitive and kind of reflects badly on the breadth of your vocabulary.

I don't mind.. The only reason why swearing is used so much, is because it is used to show frustration, like when driving and there is a lot of traffic and you have to be at a meeting in 5 minutes -.-! I don't mind it, maybe when it starts to be used as a bully 'tool' that's when I get a problem with it :/
