Funi sub worth it?

Can anyone that has it or has tried subbing to Funimation comment on whether it's worth it? I sub to both CR and Hulu since CR gets the vast majority of X seasons anime and Hulu since they have a metric F ton of older random anime I have backlooged for when I'm waiting for next weeks episode. I've for the most part avoided subbing to Funimation since they never get more than a couple shows I want to watch any given season, nor do they have a terribly huge exclusive streaming library that interests me.

So I've just passed them up every season and lived with the initial delay they have on their shows before porting them to hulu maybe a day behind their releases. This was fine because I never got to every new show within the first week and usually find ones i initially missed before I go looking for Funimation/hulu ones. Unfortunately though unless i never noticed it Funi has decided to follow in CRs footsteps and this week started delaying new episodes a week+ and then whatever it takes to get them to hulu and wherever.

So with this change/realization that they do this can anyone who has or has had a Funi sub comment on whether it's worth it? Basically I want to know how big/worth it is their actual catalog, how quality are their subs, and do they actually get more than just a handful of shows? My biggest concern/hesitation is whether I want to pay $8/mo to stay up on 4 shows this season, 2 last, and possibly 1 or none next.

If you have the money, it doesn't hurt. It is also supporting a legitimate LEGAL source.

Between Funi and CR they get 90% if not closer to 100% of each seasons shows. So having both means you can catch nearly everything without resorting to the darkside (putting aside any region restrictions). They have a smaller selection then CR, but Funi also deals more in home releases and English dubs than they do having a selection from my PoV. Having a membership gives you discounts on their home releases (blu-ray/dvd) and allows access to the dubs, which their free service only allows a couple episodes at best.

Also for some of their series whether dubbed or not you need their membership to watch. So if you want to watch them you would need one anyway.

I have an EVS and I like it cause I get to catch any show that comes out practically while supporting legal distribution of Anime in the states. Yes I could essentially not pay anything at all and just go to the darkside of the internet, but i'd rather support it legally.

To tackle some of these points:

Their list is smaller than say CR, but it still has quite a few titles, most of which are NOT on CR.

It is different every season obviously, but I think they usually get half a dozen to a dozen each season so far I have been watching (1 year + some months)

I'd say their quality of subs is on par with CR, not good, but not bad either.

Actually FUNi has 9 simulcasts if you don't count long runner Toriko and One Piece this season, unless 4 is all you are wanting to watch.

But as to whether it is worth it... well that is entirely personal. I DO because I want to support the legal distribution and I have the money.

I'm personally just sucking it up and dealing with the delay. I could probably afford the extra $8/month, but to me it's not worth it content-wise, so I'll continue using Hulu on the delay.

I'm not sure on ALL of FUNi's simulcasts, but this season I think they are doing a CR move where EVS members get it one week, and the following week free users get that episode.

Assuming you want to use FUNi's website, i'm not sure what type of delay Hulu has since I don't use it often and only for TV shows I actually want to watch which is very few.

The player seems to be working the way it should have always worked after they updated, and I'm keeping up with a few shows, so yeah. Other than that, this pretty much covers my view:

Hulu used to be a half a day-ish delay from Funi's website. I assume that they will be on the same time frame now. I don't like Funi's website and I already have a lot of viewing history on Hulu, so I'm staying there.

I have enjoyed their content and voice actors. They have usually sub and dub for each series. I think they have plenty of high quality series as well as CR. I pay, and I am happy. I stand behind all the legitimate sites. Their app and site can be a little iffy at times with bugs. But I am still pleased with them.
