Here's what I know:

The PS3 library is painfully short on RPGs. Correction: GOOD RPG's. I know this because I bought that system specifically because it "had better RPGs and horror games" than the XBOX 360. This was three years ago.

Now, that didn't stop me from buying 84 games for the damn thing. But you mentioned Agarest, so what you're probably looking for is JRPGs, specifically. While PS3 has rounded out the end of its reign with a few very nice titles in this department, there aren't enough truly good ones to justify blowing 250 bucks at this point in time, depending on your standards.

Come to find out, most off-beat RPGs/JRPGs have found a home on the Nintendo 3DS. While I cannot personally verify this, I trust the person who told me (partly because it's their job), and I'll be looking into it as my next purchase in my grand quest to find people who can still tell a damn story.

Now that's not necessarily true. While my personal recommendation is the Nintendo Wii U, I completely and fully respect both MicroSoft and Sony's systems. Nintendo's consoles simply offer the games that I personally prefer to play.
My personal opinion though, is that the games available on a console should be the largest factor when purchasing a new system, not if a system can do this thing or if this accessory can do that thing. What a system can do means nothing if there's no games that you want to play available on it, right?

My comment wasn't directed at you, it was just a general comment. It does seem that the forum here is a bit more nicer than most, mostly due to the lack of "my consoles better" responces I've seen, it doesn't mean they won't happen Cuz they ALWAYS do when what console is a better choice question gets asked,so if you thought it was directed at you then sorry,it was meant to be a general statement.
