Back when I was watching hayate the combat butler cuties, I couldn't scroll past the first few episodes or Cr would freeze and 80% of the time freeze the ps3 as well. And if I watch Cr I'm for sure guaranteed at least one time Cr freezes which ends up putting me back at the ps home page. though lately I've just been using my computer and the only thing I have to deal with is a little loading time.

Following the latest PS3 system update, I've been experience full PS3 crashes about 75% of the time that I attempt to watch a show using the PS3 app -- after selecting a show, the screen goes black/gray and the system hangs, and needs to be rebooted via the power button. Another 20% of the time it simply won't load the show. Prior to the system update, there were no issues. The PC browser client works fine.

At this point Crunchyroll is essentially not usable on the PS3 for me.

Anyone have any luck with getting the PS3 app working?
Its been roughly a couple of weeks since it has worked for me.

I would select ANY show...the wheel on the bottom right corner would do its spin. but nothing would happen.

I've already:
- updated my software
- deleted and re-installed the app.
- deactivated and re-activated the video option in PSN.

nuttin. nadda. zip.

I can still access it on the ipad...but I'M PAYING for it to work on my TV.
(and yes, i do like supporting companies who are bringing and subtitling shows...but only if IT WORKS)
If i wanted to watch it on my ipad...I'd make it through with the advertising breaks.

PS3 app will remain broken until they reason another patch. I hate paying for something that doesn't work either. They are neglecting us PS3 users. Their goal right now seems to be working on supporting many platforms as they can regardless of the condition the other platforms are left in and then they'll go back to work out the kinks.

Not entirely true. CR did pull the Boxee Box app when the manufacturers announced they would be discontinuing support of the hardware.

I just meant in general. They need to stop supporting more platforms and fix the ones that have major problems before moving on to something new.. I've seen all the excuses they come up with, but really it's just poor management within the company.

I doubt someone skilled in those systems would be of much help in fixing issues with the PS3 app. (Yes, they are programmers, but fixing those bugs will take someone who knows the system).

Doesn't matter. They still need to fix ps3 or hire someone who knows the ps3. It's ridiculous that there hasn't been an update in a very long time.

I have a similar problem. Any time i try to start a episode it comes blank screen no loading. It just started for me today.

Necro. Not that any CR support will see this, but my PS3 hasn't worked in over a week. I've been using my Roku instead, but for some reason my Roku only streams CR in standard def. I'm kind of frustrated.

CR has submitted one twice, it was confirmed as rejected the first time, and assumed to be rejected the second time as it hasn't appeared after many weeks.

Well that explains it. So I can only really view CR on my iPhone and PC now.

So is the ps3 app not going to be fixed? If so there's no reason for me to continue being a paid member. Not only will it not load on my ps3, but it crashes the entire system and requires me to do a hard restart.

I'm having the same problem. It freezes at a black screen when I try to reload the ap.
