Anyone have any idea what's going on with this manga? I can't seem to find any information about its status, in English anyway.

I've got no clue but it is certainly depressing. It seems like it is on hiatus but I've not seen any article confirming it.

First off, when it came back from hiatus it was stated that the publication would be irregular. The expectation what that the author would be doing an every-other-month thing with this and Re-Collection. That isn't what happened. Orange has come out most months since it restarted. The most recent month that seems to have been skipped, the third volume of the manga was being published. There is speculation that the author took time to work on that and that is what delayed the next chapter.

I'd expect to see another chapter this month or next.

Ah okay, thanks for clearing that up. It sucks it's being published irregularly considering how freaking good the series is.

Quoted for truth!

I love the series and wish it were at least monthly, but somehow I get the feeling that the mangaka would up and quit if she weren't allowed the freedom to create at her own pace... This is better than that!

If she's doing it to maintain her creative freedom then I'm totally cool with that, I'd hate to see this series ruined because it was rushed or pushed in the wrong direction simply to get it out on time.

I remember reading, when the series went on haitus, that the mangaka was considering retirement and was basically burned out. I don't know how much truth there is to that, but I wouldn't doubt it. She is brilliant. I hate waiting, but I'll wait for her work.

I don't really have anything new to add, I just wanted to say that I recently discovered Orange browsing through the Manga on here, and man, it is awesome! I'm really excited for the next chapter, regardless of when it comes out.

Oh my... Chapter 18 is heartbreaking. Waiting for the next chapter is so hard! (Can't wait for the movie!)

Naho's mindless conversational incompetence is starting to grate on me. She totally dropped the ball this chapter. There were any number of positive, encouraging things she could have said to Kakeru, instead she stammers and mumbles inane platitudes like an idiot. This isn't rocket science.

I am reading this series and I am loving it. I saw it on here by random chance and added to my list! Now that I have gotten around to it, I will continue reading. I hope Naho and Kakeru can avoid the horrible future!!

Synopsis

One day, Takamiya Naho receives a letter written to herself from ten years in the future. As Naho reads on, the letter recites the exact events of the day, including the transfer of a new student into her class named Naruse Kakeru.

The Naho from ten years later repeatedly states that she has many regrets, and she wants to fix these by making sure the Naho from the past can make the right decisions—especially regarding Kakeru. What's more shocking is that she discovers that ten years later, Kakeru will no longer be with them. Future Naho asks her to watch over him closely.

I am going to end up looking like a smart aleck, so forgive me, but I think slice of life and sci-fi should be added to the genres. I say sci-fi due to the concepts of time travel and parallel worlds used in this series and slice of life due to the everyday life elements. I just thought I could help with suggestions and such, so if I am being a smart aleck, then I apologize! Take care, brotha'!
