Just as the title says, Crunchyroll isn't detecting that I moved to a new location. Before now, I was living in Colorado, USA, but I recently moved to Sydney, Australia, for the next 6 months. I tried logging in and out and clearing my cookies, but my time on the site hasn't updated, nor have the unavailability of certain shows that aren't streaming in Australia. Is there a manual way to fix this, or is there something I can do? Thanks

It may be because you are in a different country now and so some shows are limited due to this. Crunchyroll may only let certain places have the right to view videos. If that kind of makes sense. Kind of like having rights to certain videos. Such as Disney that used to have stricked patent but because they lost their patent they lost their rights and people were allowed to use there characters in other movies such as Shrek which makes fun of many of them. I may be wrong though:)

No, you're right. But that's part of the problem I'm having. I'm saying that because Crunchyroll hasn't recognized that I'm in a different country, all of the shows that normally wouldn't be available are available (even though I can't watch them anyways). In addition, the time and date hasn't changed. If I can get Crunchyroll to recognize that I'm no longer in the United States, that would be ideal.

As the person above said, you are in another country, its stupid to believe that those restrictions suddenly don't apply.... You answerd your own question...... ARE NOT STREAMING IN AUSTRALIA.

Are you people serious? Read what he is saying. LOL.

He's able to see non-Aussie shows and CR still shows his current time as american time. That sounds weird, though. Shouldn't it just directly detect such things?

Read before you post something stupid.

It should, which is why I'm super confused... I'm not quite sure what to do if logging out, clearing cookies, and logging back in won't change my location on the site. If you find anything out, please let me know, I'd be super grateful ;)

CR detects your region every time you start a new browser session, so clearing your cookies should change it (logging out/in won't do anything). There isn't really anything else you can do except for checking your detected region (the flag near the bottom of the page) or trying a different browser.

I'm guessing that you mostly care about the time and not the availability of the series. I'm not sure exactly how the time on the site is set, but it doesn't have anything to do with your detected region.

I tried watching Chuunibyou Ren (should only be available in USA and Canada), and am somehow able to stream it from here in Sydney. Very confused.

You don't have anything like Mediahint or Hola running then?

No, I've never even heard of those before now.

It is odd that I have recommended that exact action before and gotten a "Thanks, that worked" reply back.

Odd that it didn't work this time, but I also note it was stated that clearing cookies also did not.

What happens if you try a different web browser (i.e., if you are using Chrome, try IE or Firefox)? If the problem still persists, then that would rule out anything browser related.

I always use Chrome, so I tried accessing it through IE, but nothing changed. :/
