Hasn't Crunchyroll already told us about this a few hours ago themselves?

More importantly, I believe it's a good thing, do you not?

I hear they're also replacing SAO with...what was it? Another anime. I forgot which one.

Anyhow, Toonami needs to liven up it's broadcasting, sure sure SAO and Soul Eater are nice and all, but what is this? The 90's? Early 2000's? Ruoini Kenshin and Inuyasha are shows of the past! Kids don't want to see epic sword battles on their T.V. anymore!

It's all about Guns and lazers now!

Especially after Space Dandy. That show was created in an attempt to pander to the Family Guy crowd earlier on in the evening. Get them to watch an anime episode or two, and slowly draw them into the more Anime-esc shows later in the evening. Black Lagoon will probably be placed right after Space Dandy in the time slot.

Leaving what I've since looked into as Blue Exorcist replacing SAO into a later viewing.

They're really trying to up the viewbase with some prime Anime viewing, what's not to like about that? The problem with shows such as Gurren Lagann, Madoka Magica, and Fate/Zero lies with PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY SEEN ALL OF THESE, IF YOU'RE WILLING TO WATCH IT AGAIN, YOU PROBABLY EITHER HAVE THE DVD'S OR ARE USING A STREAMING SERVICE.

But Black Lagoon? I could stream it at any time, and probably will. But I've been waiting for a good chance to jump into it. If it premiers on Toonami, I might as well watch it right?

Must be awful for you, how dare they show Black Lagoon on a programming block which you can choose not to watch.

I don't think the OP is saying they have a problem with it, more like they are excited.

Either that, or they worry it will turn out like the Deadman Wonderland airing where every other word was bleeped (Black Lagoon has a TON of profanity in it).

Um...Dude, Black Lagoon's awesome. Soul Eater can only run for its 51 episodes without repeats. There is no problem here.

Reading the article... and judging your title of the thread: I am guessing you are upset that Soul Eater is ending on Toonami because it's final episode is coming up, and that you don't want it to go? Well that is the way it just works. Even a slightly longer series like Soul Eater will have to end eventually, can't just keep replaying it over and over and over again. Besides that from what I have seen Toonami's goal is too slowly get Anime back into the mainstream (slightly). So more shows means more fans. More fans means more stuff for all of us down the road.

Here in the states... more or less yes the internet did kill that. I can't speak for other places in the world though. That said I think it is mostly watched on TV in Japan, if that counts.

Now it is not like it is COMPLETELY dead here in the states on TV. But Toonami is trying to bring it back.

Black Lagoons probably my favorite toonami pickup since they came back, its a wild and fun ride.
I think though it'll be a little jarring going from one piece to black lagoon since BL is taking soul eaters spot.

Yep, this definitely is happening. I'm pretty excited about it. I needed a reason to watch (and actually finish) Black Lagoon, instead of just watching some of it and never finishing it.

So, here's the most important question:

How many bleeps can Revy bleep bleep if Revy could bleep bleeps?
