I recently did. It was not because I don't like watching anime and reading manga from CrunchyRolls. It was because I simply can't afford it anymore. I am running tight on budget because I'm in a great deal of debt. Plus, I'm just a frugal person.

I was subscribed on Crunchy Rolls from October to January. So I was subscribed to this service for a total of 4 months. I noticed I wasn't using Crunchy Rolls very much, mainly because I was spending my time on other sites, doing other things. If I used Crunchy Rolls more, I would be continuing my subscription. But I canceled it because I realized I was hardly using CrunchyRoll's paid subscription at all. If I used my paid subscription a considerable amount, I would still be paying for CrunchyRolls. But since I was barely using Crunchy Rolls at all, I just decided to cancel my subscription fees. I'm going to spend the money I used on CrunchyRolls on something else...

I'm still going to use CrunchyRolls. But for now on, I'm just going to post comments on this site. I like the service I received from my monthly CrunchyRoll subscription. I canceled it because I just realized I hardily ever used it, so it was probably not worth the $7 a month. I already spent around $30 on it, so I might as well cancel it and save money. I might re-subscribe in the future, when I start using the services more.

I've never even considered it. And I've been unemployed for a lot of the time I've been here, so it probably wasn't the greatest thing for me to be spending money on :P

I have buyers remorse all the time because I'm so frugal and poor lol, but CR feels like money extremely well spent for me.

Canceled a couple of times mainly because i was unhappy with the anime they were offering or felt that i wasn't getting as good a deal as other countries for the same price. If i'm not using it i don't pay for it. Normally they will eventually get some anime i want to watch and around that time they offer a free trial to hook former subscribers back in so i jump on to see if the series are any good and if i like it i stay.

Even got a 30 day free trial offer once to resubscribe that was fun XD

I barely even notice I spend the money for it. I get just the anime sub since I have no interest in the dramas. Wouldn't really read the manga either. I like having a Crunchyroll sub because I can't afford to purchase every anime out there I'd love to watch and pirating does hurt the anime industry. They've said it and I believe them. So in a small way I'm supporting the animes and production companies that I love. Even though it's free I also enjoy reading the Japan and anime related news on the homepage. I've also considered buying things from the Crunchyroll shop when I've had some spare cash and the member discounts are nice. Plus I attend conventions and the Crunchyroll panels have always been fun and the Ambassadors are awesome. I got a rubber wristband and nice quality lanyard at the last one I went to. I intend to always keep my Crunchyroll sub unless something really awful happened.

You literally repeated yourself for 3 paragraphs.

To answer your question though, no I haven't. Been subscribed to them for about 3 years now and don't plan on ending it anytime soon.

I've cancelled a few times when I wasn't watching any of the new stuff and few times out of frustration with streaming issues. On that note their cancellation policy is the least friendly I've encountered, and why I will never purchase any thing longer than a month. It's really a nasty outlier among subscription services in that regard.

Haven't thought about it. I'm happy with CR's service, i'm legally helping the spread of Anime out of Japan, there is still plenty of shows I have not seen on CR, and even being broke I never thought it was a bad thing to pay for.

So wait, you canceled it because you couldn't afford it? Normally threads like these come up because you're dissatisfied with the service. As it stands, for what I'm getting I think the price I pay each month is reasonable. I canceled it for one month last year as the Spring season started because I didn't think I'd want to watch any of the shows, then realised how wrong I was and renewed it. I've been paying for almost a year now.

Oh and for the record, any site that will gladly take money from you at the start of the month, only to end your subscription the MOMENT you click cancel, is full of shit. If you have already paid for a month and you cancel it before the end, you should be able to sue the service for the rest of that month. Imagine if you'd bought a yearly sub and you wanted to make sure it didn't renew at the end, so you clicked cancel halfway through the year. I'd be livid.

I cancelled simply because I've seen every series that I wanted to see and the anime/manga that I treasure, I own it already on DVD or BR. I'll renew when it's time to catch up on fresh titles.
