Ever since crunchyroll add the lastest manga its app keeps crashing on my ipod. Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?

Hi, I"ve moved this thread to Manga Support.

I use the app on my iPad mini, and haven't noticed a problem, but I also haven't done much reading in the last few days.

Same here. I've been running the app on the original iPad with iOS 5 and ever since the new manga has been added the app crashes all the time.

I found the app crashes randomly, but usually it has been my experience that I've been possibly changing pages too fast for the app to keep up (if that makes sense) and I'm guessing a memory, array, or indexing problem ensues. If I go slow, it's less often that this happens.

I get crashes too, but I think it's only on my iPad which can't support above ioS5. Can't afford an upgrade yet.

I can confirm that my iPad 1 crashes every time I try to use the app. My daughter's iPad mini and my phone work fine. Since this issue is well over a month old and it is ongoing, can someone tell me if there are any plans to fix it? If the app isn't compatible with iOS5 that is fine, but it should say so in the app store. That would avoid some frustration.

The current CR iOS app lists:

Compatibility: Requires iOS 5.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.

At the moment though, it isn't compatible with iOS 5. It keeps crashing and, judging by the comments, has for sometime. If they aren't going to fix it, then don't say it is compatible. I'm not really interested in reading on my phone, so if they can't get it sorted soon I'll just go back to Anime only.

Apple has already abandoned anyone using the iPad one, so I can hardly blame CR for moving on. Other apps have already done so. Telling me that it will work when it doesn't, however, is irritating.

Sorry, I didn't notice this was a thread about the manga app, so the link I provided was to the anime app. I checked the manga app, however, and the compatibility listing is indeed the same.

I would hope that when an app is listed as compatible with versions of iOS that Apple at least runs some type of rudimentary check before adding it to the store, but I'm not well versed on Apple's app store screening process.
