Says you...I have plenty a good time discussing with people on this forum, just because you find me annoying doesn't mean everyone does. I'm sure you feel your opinion is universal though, that seems to be typical among folks of your type.

You have to accept the logical inverse in that case as well though, zipzo. You're plenty hot under the collar, that last jab being a good example. Just because it doesn't bother all of us doesn't make others wrong for being bothered.

I'm surprised English isn't your first language though, I would've sworn you were a native speaker.

I technically am, I was raised in a dual language household with importance placated on knowing both (Japanese mum, English/Japanese speaking father).

TBH it might be the reason people think I sound meaner than I'm really intending to, but I'm not really about to go in to deep thought over why I sound so mean all the time.

Gargantia wasn't particularly bad but it wasn't fantastic either. Alot of potential though. And as for my thoughts on a new season is conflicted. I would watch it but I won't nearly be as excited if Chamber is totally gone. However for story purposes he needs to stay gone which is sad. I love Chamber mostly since he was the most interesting character from the get-go and it just surprised me how the character I least expected had so much incredible character development. I have little motivation to watch a new season now since I feel like Ledo and Amy never had to much progression to catch my interest..So probably a no on a new series...

That makes sense. About the language thing. It definitely feels like you grew up with it.

Even though I'm about as much a linguist as I am a fish.

Hes pretty edgy for a japanese thats for sure, unless for some reason hes not japanese and i mixed something up.
I dont really mind jabs like the last one, but the way he discribes some anime like gargantia being a huge pile of shit just makes me laugh. I fully enjoyed gargantia but if i were to get into a conversation with him about it he would be rude and distasteful. The universe is logical, every person who ive ever come in contact with on these forums besides like 2-3 people do not like zipzo.

It's because I'm a mutt

I don't describe Gargantia to be a pile of shit and I never have. What I have repeatedly said about Gargantia (I can't believe this conversation from like a year ago is being revived) is that it's so dang pretentious it's almost like it's on purpose.

There's a massive Deus Ex Machina at the 3 quarter mark, there's all sorts of wtf-baggery from Pinion, the story just gets utterly wack near the end, cool space robot fight aside.

As a series, in its entirety, it simply just doesn't stand up to other things Gen has done. It's like a one-off dub-tee-eff series that makes very little sense and creates a ton of questions only because it doesn't even know itself well enough to answer them. It's just a very poorly written show, from all sides.

Art direction? Great stuff. Puber-poon-tang? Totally down. Ledo? Absolutely empty character, with zero going for him as a lead. He doesn't even get laughable shounen moments which are absolutely the minimum if you are going to have such a character that fails to live up to his main role. That's actually why people love Chamber so much, people essentially consider him the main core of that show because Ledo was just that bad. So bad a dang robot beat him out as the champion people actually remember from the show at all. Amy doesn't get a free pass, as she's a pure and simple plot device.

I rarely talk out of my ass. I feel the way I do for very solidified and justifiable reasons, maybe you should consider that before you bash me simply because my opinion runs contrasting to yours.

If you put it that way you are 100% correct, its no evangelion for damn sure but it was to me a nice little anime to watch. Idk where I got the " pile of shit" that I thought I read you saying. I can definitely agree on your points. I don't even really dislike you I just feel you come off a little rude se times. O well I guess I feel better about you now, your not such a bad guy.

Just an update on this:

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-03-22/gargantia-anime-sequel-to-be-2-volume-video-anime

I'll just quote from ANN:

The sequel will be a two-part original video anime.

The OVA is titled Suisei no Gargantia ~Meguru Kōro, Haruka~, and screening events will be held, starting with the first volume this fall.
