Have you ever ate food that just made scream out "Delicious!" like they do in anime? I was watching an episode of The Pilots Love Song and I was at the part where they had all sat down and ate. Naturally, they all scream "delicious!" over a bowl of curry, but I've never seen or experienced that in my life. Basically, have you ever eaten something that made you shout of "delicious" or at least called the chef over to express your feelings that dish? I've eaten some good food but I never thought anything of it.

Hahaha this makes me laugh!
I definitely have gone "Wow this is really good!" Or something of the sort, which I guess would be the same as what they're doing. But I've never felt the need to compliment the chef, mainly because I think I'm too into my food to do so lol

Yep. The first time I tried Steak Dianne. I said "Holy-F!@##'n S*#@!!!! This tastes amazing." It didn't go over so well with the couple sitting next to us at the restaurant, but the waiter said he'd relay my compliments to the chef.

well I'd probably be too busy stuffing my face with the food, if I did shout out 'DELICIOUS!' then I might choke and kill myself...
oh well. I'll try shouting next time I eat something.

I do when I eat a really really delicious food such as dim sum at this one place. But only when I'm with my family or close friends, I'd say 'so goooooood' only loud enough for them to hear me, not the people from other tables because that'd be so embarrassing.

I love to cook and I love anime. So I chase after that reaction. I have served food to family and friends that brought about that reaction. It made me so happy. It really makes me happy when people enjoy the food I prepare. I did serve food to a local chef once who had trained in Europe and she sincerely complimented my food. It's been so long that I can't remember what I served her, but I remember her praise almost knocked me off my feet. It wasn't close to the anime reaction, but I have a long way to go before my cooking could illicit that reaction from a professional chef.

No. I've had good food before, but being a reserved and inhibited person, have never exclaimed about the good taste of a dish. I finish it and then compliment the cook.

The reaction seen in anime is mostly for effect.

I don't really cry out delicious, but when I wrap my big pink lips around a tasty assortment of meat, you will hear some modestly sexual moaning.

Don't think I ever have. I just eat my food. I only comment on its taste if it's particularly horrible or someone asks me. I have made exaggerated "ew" and "ick" noises if I eat something bad, though.

I have both in America and in Japan.

I used to study at University in Nagoya and it was so common for a lot of us to say "Oishii" over foods. I do think it tends to be said more in Japan than in the states-- but I do have friends here in the US and myself that have had moments where if something is so good we may say "Uuuuhhhhh yesss" or "This is soooooo gooood omgoshh"
