Both the fish and the musical tones are overrated.

There are much tastier fish. Mahi Mahi is delightful, as is some nice sushi-grade tuna. Bass is Ok, but not worthy of too much attention.

Art is designed to convey emotion. Music can be an artform. Music should be balanced so as to properly convey the intentions of the composer. Artificially jacking up the bass on a good song drowns out other tones that the artist wanted to be heard. It is like putting a sepia philter on the Monalisa so it looks "cool like instigram" or pouring ketsup on Fillet Minion. It is disrespectful, and completely misses the point.

My sound system is balanced and i have a JL W7 12 to a 500/1v2 JL amp. You can hear my music clearly, it really matters about the speakers. If you dont have good speakers then you are right you cant hear your music its all bass. I took out my stock and put in some alpine speakers and it sounds great can hear every note. And my bass is really loud people think i have 2 12's instead of 1

I have to say that I love playing the Bass if anything in my case without it music would feel a bit empty since it needs a good Bass melody to give it that spice, I have heard some good music with some nice Bass playing (Red Hot Chili Peppers, TOOL, Rage Against the Machine, etc...) I would never gotten into loving music so much. I also love seeing people fish it might not be the most interesting thing to do but it sure is the most relaxing.

I prefer Salmon , tyvm.

I have a Kicker L7 15" connected to a HiF 2K amp. The box is sealed so it's sound quality over sound pressure level. Not loud to disturb other drivers but more than enough for me to ride along. It's amazing when that the song drops during Dido- Thank You.
