Who would you like to voice whom?

Any reason why?

Wendee lee or Emily Neves as Ryūko Matoi. The attitude says it all for either actress.

Richard Epcar or David Lodge as ira gamagori. Simple, they are great voice actors.

Anyone like this list? Hate it?

Do you have your own list you'd like?

Woah woah woah woah. Hold up on some of these.

Disregarding the amount of random hate Wendee Lee gets...which seriously, I don't get. I don't find her voice fitting for Ryuko's character. Emily Neves is also vastly different from Wendee Lee, so I can't see where your dots connect on them.

I would much rather see Genevieve Simmons as Ryuko Matoi. She's a relative new-comer in the VA'ed industry, and absolutely killed it in Mysterious Girlfriend X as Urabe Mikoto. He has the range to voice the more masculine characters without sounding like a "Little boy"
She's got the young woman with an attitude down I tell you. Something the Ryuko roll needs. Enough of that young-boy, give me the young woman voice actresses!

Next, Richard Epcar and David Lodge!? Outside of being iffy Voice actors, they don't have the range! Lodge tends to play the "scratchy voiced badass" and....can't raise his voice. It's just not a good fit.

Richard Epcar...I do like him. He's got a good voice and a good range of character. But again, he doesn't raise his voice very well. I don't see it.

Now....Jamieson Price? THAT is a man's voice. Diethard Reid(Code Geass), Martin Jigmar(Code Geass), Kirei Kotomine(Fate/Franchise, and Lordgenome(Gurren Lagann)!

Lu Bu in Dynasty Warriors! LU FREAKIN BU, HAVE YOU HEARD HIS LU BU VOICE! On a side note, all 3 of them play voices in Dynasty Warriors...which is hilarious to me.

Jamieson Price was born with a badass voice and is able to put some volume in it! The man is able to go ham on his lines! THATS what I want to see!

Epcar and David are the masculine Villainous voices. Jamieson Price has that hint of responsibility with his voice. Makes him sound more respectable. I mean, you could git Sabat as well, but I find that one unlikely. This one is being handled by Aniplex.

Why didn't i think of Jamieson Price?! Why?!
This is why i posted this topic, to see who would be actually best suited to the roles. Also to find new voice actors like Genevieve simmons. Really need to see the space pirates anime.

Actually, I would like to see Jessica Calvello as Ryuko.

Alien 9's Kasumi Tomine! Super cool choice!

Crazy thing is i could list dozens of voice actors that would be perfect, the problem is that most of those don't work for the same company, thus unlikely they'd co-work with different companies.

Would love to see them work together, maybe 1 day on a major project.

They are both great voice actresses, I've seen them in respective roles that to me would make them ideal candidates for the role. Each to me represents a awesome choice for ryuko, despite being radically different.

I also don't get it with all the hate. I know every voice actor doesn't always live up to some people's expectations but why all the negativity. Just because 1 role isn't their best doesn't mean they are terrible.

I don't care about the individual actors, I just want it dubbed by 4kids. Now let me explain so I don't sound like a crazy idiot. Kill La Kill can never have a good dub let's face it. The show is %70 angry Japanese yelling, and I don't think English actors could pull it off. So if itad can't have a good dub, it might as well have a entertainingly bad one.

Even if it is impossible to dub well (and I don't believe it is) does 4Kids even do R-17 dubs?

Too true. It'd be cool if they auditioned actors/actresses based on fan request but realistically it's down to who dubs it in what region of the world. Then it's who they can fit in within their time scale.

At least we can envision an awesome dub of our fav voices.

True, but we do know that their are a set list of Voice Actors that companies tend to use, and barring a newbie debut, it's easy to find which actors/actresses they have access to.

Anyone they've used in the past for example, tend to be reused in the future. The question is who gets to play who, and who plays multiple people? We already have those Steve Blum's and Christopher Sabat's voicing 5 to OVER 9000 voices per anything. The whole Piccolo arguing at Vaggeta arguing at Yamcha yet all being voiced by the same guy.

And lets not even get STARTED on Steve Blum being cast as the entire male cast of Star Wars: The Old Republic game. I mean, it's a bit of an overstatement but...you spend at least 100+ Hours hearing your character(voiced by Steve Blum) talking to the other guy, also Voiced by Steve Blum, as you kill some random Villain...voiced by Steve Blum.
Hell, EVERYBODY has access to Steve Blum, the dude works in anything and everything.

I don't mind if they use the same person for several roles, so long as they actually sound different or at least convince that the characters are different.

I look forward to whoever dubs it, just hope the voice actors/actresses give it their all for kill la kill!

That's partially because they're primarily Video Game Voice actors. Baker doesn't have a lot of appeal outside of "Generic Male Voice #1"
That said, when is a generic male voice ever a bad thing? Saints Row was freaking awesome... but it reminds me of the one thing Saints Row didn't do right.

Give me an Asian accented Voice option. It's white, black, british, Zombie....seriously? You prioritized Zombie over an Asian voice actor? They do realize that the most popular character of the Saints Row franchise,Johnny Gat, is an Asian American? I can't be all Asian American with him? That's no fun! Ain't too big a deal, but I was a tad sad when it happened.
Additionally, Will Yun Lee was the VA for Wei in the game Sleeping Dogs. I would love to see him in more works... but that's neigh impossible.

Kari Wahlgren I've noticed...but similar to Baker I don't believe she has a lot of range. A really good and unique voice, if...always the same.
Looking her up, she voices Fate/Zero's rendition of Saber AND Kung Fu Panda's Tigeress. When I read that, the only thought that came to my head was "Knew'it" The two characters just resonate with her voice.....aaaaand are practically the same character. I believe she would be a really good fit for Satsuki... like, really good. If the voice director knows what he's doing, and she delivers enough emotion into it, perfection.

When I type in Steve Blum, I don't get his Wikipedia article first. I get "Steve Blum Voices" the web site...which I assume is a Website devoted to his voices.....

The front page has this really stupid/hilarious/amazing thing where you click the picture of a random character, and it plays Steve Blum's voice over.

Additional news, according to the Wikipedia. Steve Blum holds the Guinness World Record for most profilic Video Game Voice actor at 261 credited appearances.

I differ a bit from saying she doesn't have range. She does, though it's rarely ever exploited. Personally, I preferred Kate Higgins as Saber, but Wahlgren did a nice job too... I'll put some comparison clips up later.. perhaps...
