Answer and give your opinion on where you think anime is heading for us.

What kind of anime do you anticipate seeing in the near/far-off future?

What genres will become more common?
Will there be more fanservice and "PLOT" and less plot?
What will it look like animation wise?
Will the community of people who enjoy anime grow or shrink?
Will anime become more socially accepted?
More males/females watching?
More popular and promoted?
The end of long running series?
More shorts and less full anime? (Ex: Pupa)
Technology that will change the way we view anime?

Feel free to post an opinion of a change/question not mentioned above.

Edit: I forgot to mention any anime you think might come out xD

Hmmm I won't hit every one of your questions right now, mostly because I am feeling lazy tonight. Sorry! I might come back to stab at all of them..

As for the ones I will take a stab at now:

I doubt the demographic will really change, there will generally be more young men watching then older men or any females.

I do see an end to long running series, closest we will get in long running I think soon (other than the already insanely long running ones) is stuff like Fairy Tail, that will come back after a while to continue on, but even that I think will come to an end.

I think there will be a lot more shorts as well, financially they are cheaper, but if you have the money, you can make a great looking short, Aiura for example.

Lately, I've seen an increase in ecchi that gets more and more bold and exposing.
I think the community will grow as more titles become more available to other areas of the world where they weren't available before.
With a growing population of anime watchers, I'm sure the social acceptability will go up but not much really.
Probably a lot of magic based anime considering how our season turned out.
Rise in mecha considering the growth of technology as it is.

That's what I expect to see at least.

There will be more all cg made anime (like Arpeggio of Blue Steel) as studios get better with the process. Character models will not be so rigid, will be more fluid and animations and transitions will be much smoother.

Action and Slice of Life
Will there be more fanservice and "PLOT" and less plot?
Still think it will be like now. Sex sells so it isn't going away.
What will it look like animation wise?
More CG I wouldn't mind it if it was actually good.
Will the community of people who enjoy anime grow or shrink?
Grow. I believe more anime like Attack on Titan will come out and be known by a lot of people.
Will anime become more socially accepted?
Ehh Hopefully. I wish it becomes seen as something like Gaming. It wasn't always socially accepted.
More males/females watching?
Males.
More popular and promoted?
Yeah I guess.
The end of long running series?
Shounen crap always sells and is popular so it we will see more. Not the same as now, but something different.
More shorts and less full anime? (Ex: Pupa)
No and I don't think it will ever get like that.
Technology that will change the way we view anime?
Real life Waifus will come.

With the dramatic increase in school based anime I think it'll change to adventure base anime soon (space, fantasy, even a wacky version modern day society)
The reason school based anime has been so popular is it's easier to re-use the CG cars with the new drawn or cg backgrounds.

Now that the animation studios had practice on rushing CG for TV. They should be able to widen the variety of anime rather then this focus on school and home base anime since we have been literally not figuratively dumped in. (not that we didn't enjoy them) We clearly want change since the huge success of "Attack on titan" and personally I don't think is very good.

so if my guess is right we will be getting good anime that remind us of Gundam (wing being my favorite), last exile, Dragonball, and Dragonball Z (very different if you watch them back to back to see the difference) and a more serious version of the current Naruto shippuden and One piece. (and lets be honest there has been a lack of those kinds on anime) example "Samurai X"

and since I want to say it I love Samurai Champloo being serious yet comedic.

Probably more that are based off of otomes? I've noticed they've been more frequent than from a couple years ago.

1. Harem, ecchi and slice of life will be more common in the future, also NTR will be the new Genre.
2. Yes, Japan loves sex, they always ignore plot and focus on ''PLOT''
3. derp faces, like K-on face clones and SAO face clones.
4. depends.
5. no.
6. More males watch moesh*t a lot while girls watch shounen anime more.
7. The popular ones can be bad too.
8. One Piece and Toriko is endless.
9. because japan is running out of paper and not enough budget.
10. CGI is the destruction of anime art.

i hate CGI so much!

I'd say sci-fi/fantasy/horror/ecchi/slice of life/historic will be main genres in the years soon to come.
I hope we get series with plot but more likely it will be mostly fanservice. I just hope the plot will be there.
Depends, think we'll get old style back along with some new kinds of style!
Anime will grow, it will become mainstream although the main group like us who enjoyed so early on will be about the same size.
Probably not, it'll grow in numbers with more fans but socially it'll still be looked down upon.
I'd guess males but i'd like to see more comedies or more drama/slice of life.
See more shows getting praised & talked about. Still think we'll get hidden gems that won't be talked about much.
I see in less then 10 years we'll have no more long running shows. We'll just get seasons that either don't continue to the plots end, or they'll be years apart between seasons to conclude it.
OVAs will probably in favour of full seasons, though i suspect we'll get more seasons and movies with anime getting more popular.
CGI and computer imaging/drawing will aid since hand drawing seems to be no longer in production. If anything, we'll get more 3d anime and more hd as well as less errors in anime.

Ultimately we'll get anime that's actually more western, i.e. english groups doing ops/eds along side asia groups. I also see many new projects outside asia like uk stories getting the anime treatment. I.E Shakespeare's stories in various anime styles or us novels getting animated over live action.

I also see hollywood doing bigger budget live action movies based off the mangas/animes. Thus reaching more globally and more acceptance for wha is anime/manga.

Almost nothing will change. The harem and slice of life will still dominate, otakus will still buy body pillows, masterpieces will come out, and fanboys will rage.

The only thing that will change is the actual animation. The quality of it will increase.

Wishful thinking is all I'd be able to add, but whatever the future holds it'll come on a bandwagon.

Seeing how big anime is in Japan, I hope that in the future, it will be as big in the Western world? And then, maybe there will be anime producers that are not Japanese... who can contribute to the dialogue writing and characterizations.

Because right now, most anime characters and society are purely based on Japanese people and Japan society. We see personalities and customs of Japan society.

When anime/manga writers try to create other races/ethnicities, they end up feeling Japanese, rather than that actual race of that character. An example would be Space Brothers, the American characters don't feel "Americans", they feel more like "Japanese".

I'm not saying there's supposed to be any racial profile/stereotype, but it's just common sense. Someone who is born in Asia will behave differently to someone who is born in a Western country.
