The "I don't know what's going on but I'm gonna do what's right" attitude has been heavily over used through the older generations.

This is the unfortunate side effect of introducing a new world and plot to the viewer.

Since it's easiest to do that if the main character is an "amnesiac that came from another dimension/town/time and has no idea what's going on but speaks the language of the people very well," variations of this are used quite a lot o.o

Sometimes the difficulty goes up and you get "This person is from the same town, but hasn't been in this school or done this specific task before" which is ever-so-popular.

Personally, I'd rather just be shoved into the scenario and have to pick up bits and pieces as the plot goes on.

Well of the same thing keeps being used over and over again you could always just look for the ones that look the best and have great OPs/EDs and OSTs

What kind of anime do you anticipate seeing in the near/far-off future?

A more fan based generic corporate style (sadly)

What genres will become more common?

Ecchi, Harem, magical girl

Will there be more fanservice and "PLOT" and less plot?

Yes

What will it look like animation wise?

More CGI

Will the community of people who enjoy anime grow or shrink?

Grow

Will anime become more socially accepted?

Yes, as more people become adults who watched anime as kids, it will grow and be more socially accepted

More males/females watching?

More of both, but a higher growth in percentage of females

More popular and promoted?

Yes, there will be some series extremely over-hyped

The end of long running series?

Yes, they eventually have to end (See Naruto as example)

More shorts and less full anime? (Ex: Pupa)

Yes, attention spans in this twitter age will make them more appealing (sadly)

Technology that will change the way we view anime?

More mobile, more devices, and hopefully better broadband in the USA will be rolled out
