Pain from Naruto. Maybe, just maybe, my favorite anime villain of all-time.

If i should guess i would probably be Kenpachi from Bleach, when the anime finishes. He doesnt have any fancy abilitiesn only raw brute like Luffe, .
If you havent watched bleach i could higly recommend, yeah it is mainstream, and yeah there are fillers, but overalle its really good

Vegeta only really beat Goku once and that was because of Majin power so it was a bit like cheating. In the end Goku still reach SS3 first
so

Goku - just straight up strongest not my favorite but by the end of DBZ he could pretty much pwn anyone lol didn't finish GT since it was too painfully bad to watch so I don't count it

Luffy - only 1/3rd of the way through the series but damn ....

Current Naruto - spoilers so I can't say .... Madara may be stronger but that guy pisses me off and I swear I better not get quoted with spoilers from the manga ... damn naruto fans lol

Alucard - 2nd only to Goku

trying to think of some strong female characters on par with these guys ...... there is Revy and she is ultra bad-ass but she is confined a little bit by the fact she is in semi-real world anime
Tsunade is strong but compared to other characters in Naruto nowadays she doesn't quite measure up. There are lots of strong female CHARACTERS but as for taking on these guys in a fight I am kind of at a loss. Anyone want to help me out?

In almost every battle, his opponents think that he's going to be a pathetic kid and easy to beat but by the end of the battle, they regret what they thought before and Tsuna pwns them. He gets better with each fight and he almost never loses.

Goku from dragon ball z, No one can beat goku

Swords are stronger than their energy blast in DBZ, so it would be ok to assume any skilled swordsman would be able to kill Goku.
