Tenchi (He is literally god) and Washu, Tokimi, and Tsunami.
--- In terms of fighting ability with powers:
Vegitto (DBZ) - The guys can destroy worlds if he wanted to.
--- In terms of fighting without special abilities: (no fireballs, chakra, or weapons)

the worlds strongest would have to go to dbz. if one character didnt control their fart, it'd blow up a planet.
excluding invincible characters, i would have to say the world strongest are urahara kisuke from bleach and aoshi shinomori from rurouni kenshin

nah vegeta gets wrecked by goku goku always beats him except for that one time when he got stronger coz of that little wrinkly dude in the buu series bit but even then it was only a trick goku was about to win

yeah Goku can beat Vegeta cuz he's always dead and training while when vegeta was dead he had no body so he couldn't train. That waz one thing i hated about DBZ because I had wished that Vegeta was stronger!  |

The thread description asks for strongest in favorite anime shows... nothing about strongest in the world.
But if you're asking for the strongest in the world, definately DBGT. DBZ's old; SSJ4 bypasses everything there. Unless, of course you consider DBGT uncanon. But yes, I generally consider Goku stronger than Vegeta (I've never watched GT yet; consider it a bit uncanon) and Goku was at SSJ3 when Vegeta was at SSJ2.
Characters without limits aside, I'd say Kenshin's Master from Rurouni Kenshin. With that ultimate move of his, Kenshin's stronger than anyone else and technically speaking, equal to his master; only Kenshin's physically weaker than his master, and their style of combat is meant for larger and stronger men than Kenshin (like his Master).
