Hello guys I have tried crunchy roll premium on my pc, the ps3 and played with a laptop connected to the tv through hdmi. I was wondering if anyone else had tried multiple platforms and how they compared to the apple tv.
Lately I have been messing with the TV to watch CR just to try something different and so far the PS3 does well when the app is working fine but I know they are limited on streaming quality to 720P. I tried the laptop through hdmi but I wasn't impressed, I am guessing the either the integrated graphics hold it back from having a cleaner output or the show I tried did not benefit too much from extra resolution or the 70 inches really exploits flaws of the image. I would try my pc strapped to it but it is simply too far away and I don't have wireless to it.

How does the Apple tv quality at 1080P compare to other device or to 720P on the ps3? are all shows that are available at 1080P on the website available at 1080P on apple tv? Does anyone happen to know if the PS4 will be updated to do 1080P in the future? I don't have a PS4 yet but might be nicer to get one of those than an apple tv if they will add 1080P soon.

I believe the PS3, and all the other recently updated non-mobile apps, allow for 1080p playback if the bandwidth is available to the CR servers.

To the best of my knowledge, the PS3 app still tops out at 720p. It may have had a stealth (unannounced) update like the iOS app, but I have yet to see any official confirmation of that, as happened with iOS app.
