A serious question does the "Down Under " use cards as much as other countries?

I wont disagrre about a mugging but never been close to one happening!

I am just worried since more transactions are cyber nowadays!

I've been mugged in real life twice now. I am genuinely more scared of identity theft. Most muggers want your valuables and won't actually hurt you if you comply fast. Avoiding being mugged is usually pretty easy too ( I was stuck working in a VERY bad neighborhood for a while, not much I could do that was legal in my area so I just carried just enough cash to generally make a mugger leave after he gets it). Identity theft and digital theft can literally ruin your life and not as many people understand how to protect themselves.

yes, we are a first world country... too...

don't know about other people, but i always use the new technology where you just hold it on a screen and you don't need to put any pins (paypass).

electronic is no worse than physical identity thieving. people's medical records can get stolen etc...

Glad I have only used a hotel once in 5 years, and it was less a hotel and more of a motel... like the shady pay with cash type of motel.
