The announcements just keep hitting hard over at orlandonerdfest.com.

First up, MC Ohm-I has been announced as one of our up and coming MC's for the event. His blend of hooks and jazz inspired beats play into all the strengths of this talented rapper. He will not be someone you will want to miss.

Check out one of his tracks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXjCt-YMMVo

Next up on this list is Marc with a C. His low-fi stylings have gifted Marc with several accolades including best independent musician in Orlando. Between heartfelt songs about his love life and silly over the top songs on the state of the world like Motherf*ckers Be Bullsh*ttin' he has built a great sound.

And last but certainly not least for the announcements this time around is Scrub Club Records! On Thursday during the pre-registration party Scrub Club will be headlining the evening with a massive set featuring some of their best artists. Appearing on stage will be: Madhatter, King Pheenix, StarF, Soup or Villanz, and 2Mello.

Check out Madhatter talking about Scrub Club's set: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaLESQTeI5I

Also please check out this special message from Nobuo Uematsu himself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0b91xaS8sug

Two big announcements just rolled out this past week from the guys over at ONF.

First up is a nerdcore supergroup the likes of which has never been seen. They are called RPG-Unit. They are comprised of several of the hottest MC's that nerdcore has to offer. King Pheenix, StarF, Starby, and EyeQ are all going to be powered by the megaton power dropping sounds of DJ Roborob! They are definitely not to be missed.

Check out the full announcement here: http://orlandonerdfest.com/rpg-unit-has-been-announced-for-onf2014-and-the-day-after-show/

Then head over to Soundcloud to hear their first single: https://soundcloud.com/phaseshift-borderlands2/vault-hunters

This next announcement is a doozy but steam punk inspired band, Steam Powered Giraffe, will be head-lining one of the days at Orlando Nerd Fest. This bands unique sound has struck a cord with anyone who has ever had the desire to strap on some steam-powered machines and go adventuring around the world on a dirigible. They are not to be missed!

See what other adventures they will be telling tales of here: http://orlandonerdfest.com/steam-powered-giraffe-has-been-announced/

And to get a taste of what they will be doing at the show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyzHHNOf3ds

I have another set of announcements from Orlando Nerd Fest! :D

The Killer Robots, a hard rocking group from space, will be visiting their interstellar sounds upon those in attendance at ONF. They have been rocking up and down the space coast and call Orlando their second home away from their instergalactic PO Box.

Check out one of their great songs, I AM ROBOT, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jthpf2bDBQc

Former Fat Boys will also be at the event this August ready to party with everyone!

Listen to their awesome song I'M A DINOSAURus (A Rapping Dinosaur Driving Time Traveling DeLorean Party Rap) here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQSJC_4XHxc

I already posted about DJ Robo-Rob previously. He will be performing with RPG-Unit but he also has a solo DJ set that he will be pumping out. Will he have special guests join him on stage? It's been known to happen. :D

Here is one of his songs on Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/dj-roborob/the-damn-bass

Show him some love. <3

Last but certainly not least on this list of new performers coming to Orlando Nerd Fest this year is a face that some of the die hard fans here on Crunchy Roll might recognize.

Johnny Yong Bosch (Adam from Power Rangers, the voice of Vash the Stampede) will be performing with his band Eyeshine and also be hosting a couple of VIP events over the weekend.

If you have never heard their live performance before you will be in for a real treat. Here is just a sampling of what you can expect: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLgMX6pkoXM

Welcome back true believers! I have another round of announcements straight from Orlando Nerd Fest.

First up we got the Delegation Music Collective. These are a talented group of musicians that have come together to form a super group. These MC's embody the very soul of hip-hop and cover a broad range of nerdy topics and real world issues in their rhymes. This is a show stopping performance among show stoppers.

Check out their House Party Mixtape here : http://delegationmusic.bandcamp.com/album/the-house-party-mixtape-vol-i

Next on this list of talented artists is New York native Sammus. Sammus specializes in rhymes that turn heads with her intellectually injected lyrics and video game inspired beats and themes. She is making a huge splash in underground hip-hop and is not to be missed.

Check one of her videos to see what she is all about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p83wPuOn65U

The Godfather of nerdcore hip-hop shall be gracing us with his eminence ONF weekend. Frontalot has been making his own brand of rap music since the earliy 00's and his unique style and flow cannot be duplicated.

There are a ton of different videos and songs we could leave you with but peep this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nigRT2KmCE

For the final act to be currently announced I have the great pleasure in introducing Megaran aka Random and K-Murdock. Megaran has been crafting hip-hop for close to a decade now and has made a name for himself by using music from Capcom's Megaman series for his beats. Ran is now supported by Capcom and has toured Japan, Europe, and opened for legendary hip-hop artist Nas. When you add K-Murdock to the stage it is a team up of mega proportions!

Check the video for his song Splash Woman here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9XFPYaqNo8

Convention season is in full effect here in Florida but that doesn't mean I don't have some time to post updates.

First up on today's menu is none other than DJ Cutman! This cyborg DJ has been serving up awesome electronic tracks for years now and with the power of his original music and remixed video game themes he will be one of our awesome after hours dance party hosts!

The next band to be announced is something that you don't normally see. A ska band who represent the nerd culture! They are excited to be a part of this historic first year and are ready to chill with all the rabid nerds here in central Florida.

This next artist should need no introduction to those that are watching Toonami right now. That's right! Richie Branson will be gracing our stage this year delivering his brand of hip-hop. For those CR fans who do not know who Richie is, he has created mixtapes based off of Japanese animation he calls Otaku Tuesdays for the past year and has crafted music for the current run of Toonami. I have a major announcement from Orlando Nerd Fest!

We are currently in works with getting a DVD/CD made for the event in August. In order to make this a reality though we need some help. Orlando Nerd Fest has put together an amazing Kickstarter to get the money needed to make both a live DVD and a live album. We are looking to work with a professional video recording company in order to bring the event to life and make sure that even after the party ends everyone can bring it home.

Check out some of the awesome rewards we have set up: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1282606526/orlando-nerd-fest-presents-onf2014-live

We have signed items from Nobuo Uematsu, Tommy Tallarico, Jason Hayes, Gerard Marino, and Chihiro Fujioka to just name a few of the great items you can receive by helping us make this project happen. We also have tiers that get you the DVD or CD (or both) when they come out as well as a ton of awesome Orlando Nerd Fest swag.

Please check out the Kickstarter and see what you can do to bring the very first ONF to your house.

This is it. We are two days away from the start of the largest music fest dedicated to nerdy things. :D

I am so excited to be a part of this amazing show and everyone is sure to have a great time.

If you can't be a part of the amazing event than we invite you to join us online as we will be streaming the event via Twitch! There will also be a live DVD and CD we will be putting out after the event so those that can't join us can see all the great highlights as well as for those who were there to take home a bit of the awesomeness we are showcasing.

As you can see we have so many artists performing this year it is insane. We have a ton of events beyond this though, including a Jam Space for bands who weren't able to make it to the main stages, as well as meet and greets with some of the bands and live entertainment all weekend.

Make sure you stay tuned to http://orlandonerdfest.com/ in order to catch all the updates during the event and don't forget to like us on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/orlandonerdfest?ref=ts&fref=ts).
