I am talking about 24 hour news networks specifically. What do you think of them?

I really dislike them for a lot of different reasons. I am just wondering what you all think?

Also in your comment if you could rate these 3 networks (CNN, FOXS NEWS, MSNBC) on conservative to liberal on a scale of 1-7.

Sidenote: Can you really trust a News Network that is way to the left or the right?

There is only one news channel I trust.

The CHIMEKO news league! Best news channel ever!

Also, Stephen Colbert.

I have cnn on alot mostly because I want to know about major events, I don't really care about cnn's views and opinions since I can come about with my own.

I don't listen to any major news network, no.

FOX makes the President sound like the Anti-Christ.

CNN makes him sound like the second coming.

I prefer the Daily Show and the Colbert Report, because although they put a humorous spin on the news, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert do tend to tell it like it is without a political spin.

MSNBC is where I get my world news fix and it doesn't come off as bias but it tends to have a liberal swing to it at times.
Foxs News is really republican.
CNN is considered neutral at this point in time.
I read NBC world news as well because its boring and indifferent

The only time I get to watch 24hr news is when I'm at my folk's place. My brother and his wife keep me too busy to watch much TV at their home and I do not have cable. (I get 33 channels for free in Portland,OP/Vancouver, WA... Why the hell would I want to pay to watch commercials?)

I used to be a Republican conservative, but I don't do that anymore... I've found that FOX news is the most unreliable... CNN and MSNBC are better but as you have said can you trust them.... To use an old Reagan adage... Trust but verify..... most 24 hour national news is info-tainment... and you really need to take it with a grain of salt. They have a VESTED interest in telling you what they think you want to hear to keep their viewers and ad revenues up... It is a product. If I hear about something or see something on 24hr news I'll double check it with searches on Politifact, Aljazera USA, and other news outlets that I've found trustworthy, including the local stations.

I'll watch the local stations including OPB. I've found the PBS Newshour to be the best national news and the the local stations don't have much motivation to entertain you... It's news/weather/sports, they have little time for hyperbole and other crap.

I just don't trust Fox News. I'm forced to listen to it because my grandparents (who I live with) are hardcore republicans. They will find any way possible to make the president look bad. I don't know if they understand that republicans stop him from making much progress because they fight him every step of the way. Also, it was a republican president that started our massive debt. You can't magically lower the debt unless you take away or make cuts somewhere. It wasn't near possible for him to fix the problem. Granted, he could probably do a better job, but, but they just keep blaming democrats for EVERYTHING simply because they're butthurt about having a democratic president.

Fox says "Fair and Balanced"... idk why they have to insult our intelligence.

I only watch Rachel Maddow on MSNBC with regularity. She is unbias and reports it as it is. Plus she gives cocktail advice, has segments called Best New Thing in the World and Week in Geek.

I turn on the radio briefly each morning, just to make sure there hasn't been a major catastrophe. And that's it. I have no use for Fox, CNN, MSNBC, etc. They're just mouthpieces for the government/corporate press releases.

I don't care about the news. I get my news from whatever my friends or parents are talking about or whatever is on MSN since that's my homepage.
