As it's set in the same world as several of the author's other series, and in the same magazine that A Town Where You Live is just finishing in, I wonder if it'll end up on CR's Manga service. It would go a little way towards explaining why they picked up a series so close to the end of its run.

I'll follow it. Should be interesting to see Suzuka and Yamato make guest appearances! Hopefully at least.

I hope Yuzuki is their homeroom teacher! That would be funny!

I read somewhere that Fuuka is supposed to be 14 at the start. (See the KNiM thread for my analysis of the years of the three series...) I guess she could be 14 at the beginning of her first year of high school... But the first chapter doesn't tell you what grade the protagonist is in. It just says that his sister is in 8th grade...

So far, I like it. Fuuka seems to be a good character, with a hot temper but also the ability to apologize when she knows she was wrong. I wonder if she will join the track and field club? I wonder why she doesn't have a cell phone? (Is daddy some kind of overprotective jerk? Or is it Suzuka that is?)

It is cool that he gave Yamato a successful track career: Former Olympian and world silver medalist! That would put him as the best sprinter in Japan at his peak, I would think!

Nice start to the story. I look forward to the cameos from other cast members from both Suzuka and KNiM. (Since her father's Aunt runs a local bath house and her father's cousin should be around somewhere too... They both appeared in KNiM as well, so that would make them obvious choices...) I am looking forward to seeing the adult Suzuka as well, and maybe the Hypotenuse from Suzuka, who was a minor celebrity and made cameo appearances in KNiM as a person being interviewed on TV and such...

The manga started the same time Kimi ended. Where's the translation?!

Seems like an alright manga, it didn't pull me in like Kimi though but I guess I'll wait and see. Knowing the author, the story should get interesting quickly.

I've never read anything by Seo Kouji before, and it doesn't seem like anything special so far, but something about it got me hooked. I'll definitely be following this one pretty closely

I just picked this up today. I'm somewhat familiar with the world, but would you think it be a problem if I haven't read his previous works all the way through?

You should be fine as it will be a standalone but you'll probably get interested in reading Suzuka later on since Fuuka is the daughter of the main characters from that manga.

You should be fine although it is a sequel to Seo's other work, Suzuka.

It is a whole new story. The only thing you would miss by not reading both Suzuka and A Town Where You Live ahead of time is the cameo appearances and inside jokes in Fuuka. (For instance, in chapter 2 of Fuuka,

In any case, chapter 2 was cute. I like the manga so far. Fuuka has always been a little ray of sunshine whenever she appeared in A Town Where You Live!
