I'm not disagreeing that at this point it's all about the execution, all I am saying is that he didn't kill Fuuka simply to advance Yuu's character A A side effect would obviously be an advancement of his character since they were so close, but that wasn't the reason she died. So many people are dropping the manga because of how much they liked Fuuka. I would think that's a testament to itself of how broken she was. The most important writing tool as far as rules go is that an extenuating circumstance can get you into the problem, but it can't get you out of it. With Fuuka around it was impossible to do anything.
Nonetheless, when you create someone like her and she dies, it leaves a void you must expertly fill. I WANT TO BELIEVE.

Well, then, I guess, we'll see what he'll do next. Seo-sensei has yet to disappoint me, let's hope he keeps it up and make this 'legend' worthwhile, because right now, I'm just not seeing it.

I just don't understand why so many people need to have Fuuka. She can't develop any further than she has as a character and at this point since Yuu has kind of begun to break out of his shell around their first concert she would just be someone to help him advance, like you said what you didn't want. She provided no purpose other than to pull along all of her friends.

suzuka. plain and simple.
if it had been any other girl, there would have been no backlash.

I know it feels like that, because I too was on a train full of feels when she died, but this is NOT a sequel. Her death does not change anything about Suzuka's plot or purpose. It simply hurts more because of the long ride.

Doesn't change the plot or purpose of Suzuka? The One time Yamato had the balls to finally man up about something. and made the right decision of the future turns out to be a horribly wrong one... again. Right doesn't change it at all. It wouldn't have been a better ending if they got that abortion and they both probably became gold medalist because of it. Silly me, It's great they got to spend like seventeen years parenting the baby now before it dies in a random freak accident in the same way it already killed someone dear to Suzuka. Seems fantastic way to go Yamato you do something right for once just for you to be wrong again in the end.

And let's not even show them at all after it happens, great idea Seo, brilliant that won't make it seem like you didn't plan this at all! that is just poor writing, at least show them in a couple of panels, at least make it look like you thought about what you were doing a little. because they way he wrote it up till now is like, hey no one will see this coming... i didn't even see this coming i think it'll be cool if she just randomly died. I understand they have the wing symbolism throughout. It honestly make him look like worse of a writer because this whole death thing is rushed way to much. I mean he made about 4 months pass already. He went from crash to funeral instantly, he made the Yuu get the broken CD player and Phone charm really poor and easy out, why would that stuff even be around that late after the fact, why wouldn't her parent want to keep every damn thing ever they possibly could that has to do with their daughter. Nah let's not even think about what those characters we already know tons of stuff about do. I got some real easy painful memories to put on Yuu. Really man, I mean I already never finished a town where you live because i couldn't handle the poor writing. Now you have to mess up Suzuka too. That story was great and well written. Sometimes it's better to do less then more. Suzuka was wonderfully simple. I really do question his decisions write now, he's doing drama for drama's sake it feels like. And not about how to make the story the best it could be.

At no point am I defending his writing thereafter, but to assume that because a person has died it somehow changes the past, or makes a decision wrong, that's silly. If I went back to read Suzuka nothing would change. Only if the reason why they had her was other than because they loved each other would something change. Yeah, it sucks, but it doesn't change the past. How the hell does her dying make his decision wrong? You have to ask yourself what the decision was, and why he made it. It's sort of insulting to say anyone who decides to have a kid and they die before reaching adulthood, suddenly it was wrong to have the kid. That's silly.
ALSO, I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO CHAIN THIS MESSAGE. rofl.
