ORLY? I wasn't aware that Hulu had titles that weren't borrowed from other sources like TAN or Funi. You learn something everyday.

I keep an eye out for titles like this at my local used bookstore. Sooner or later it will show up.

I really want them to make this into an anime (and actually finish it). This story gives me a bit of a Nana vibe and I love it.

I don't know, the other works by this mangaka that have been made into animes weren't done very well imo. I'd rather see a manga go without an anime than see the story get defiled.

While I agree that the previous Seo works that have been animated have not fared that well, with the Suzuka anime being slightly more satisfying than KNiM, I would still like to see Fuuka animated when all is said and done.

I have also gotten the feeling that Seo is writing this story to be a bit more anime friendly than some of his earlier works. In particular, I have felt that there were several early scenes that would work better animated than as manga panels. The most obvious is the "failure to meet" scene at the Hachikō statue, but the opening "meet cute" where Fuuka leaps over a traffic barrier and slams into Yuu, only to mistake his twitter-ready phone for an attempted upskirt, smash the phone, and slap him silly is also something with a very kinetic feel to it that screams to be animated.

Of course, Half & Half is just begging to be turned into an anime! It should be short enough to do without cutting anything as well. Heck, it could even be done as a movie without losing story, unless the 7 day deadline is going to be breached by the end of the story.

Tell me about it! The only thing I can think of is Yuu saying that's someone else or I'm throwing a curve ball here but he stops being friend with her so he wont ruin her career. Who knows??

About time something good happens like this. Good cliffhanger I must say. I can't wait to see what happens next week!

Not a bad little cliff hanger. One wonders how much this is going to make Fuuka flip her lid? Will the chemistry of the band be totally ruined for the school festival because of it? Will Sara-sempai go yandere on Yuu's ass, since she probably knows nothing at all about his knowing Koyuki and has already shown some slightly violent tendencies when jealous...

It's getting pretty obvious that I really don't care about any of these characters. I want to, but Seo hasn't given me anything to care about. Fuuka is a completely flat character, the MC is a completely flat character, the rest of the characters are just standard tropes that aren't very interesting.

I'll give this 200 or so more chapters to get better...

That girl's got balls of steel! Can't wait to see Fuuka's reaction but I am even more curious about how Sara-sempai will react. As far as I know she didn't even know that Yuu knew Koyuki and Sara-sempai gives off serious yandere vibes! :)

Very bold of Koyuki. You have to wonder if this is her way of making him put up or shut up, especially since she hates when he gets mopey & wishy-washy.

So far, I'm really enjoying Fuuka. Unlike Haruto from "The Town Where You Live", Yuu seems to be quickly growing out of his whiny ways. Here's hoping the concert goes well.

I'm also really enjoying it. I have always had a soft spot for the character of Fuuka ever since she appeared in Suzuka 2 and started making cameo appearances in A Town Where You Live (KnIM). She has spunk and is fairly honest about her emotions, though she has shown some hints at tsundere tendencies, that would make sense, given her mother... The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree, and that tree is one hell of a tsundere!

She shows no signs of the "selfish-selflessness" that plagued too many of the main characters in KnIM.

I don't see any signs that Fuuka is that stupid. Feeling like she needs to back off because she saw Yuu and Koyuki embracing on the beach and figured that she got there first? Sure, that is natural. Being willing to listen to him and telling him that she believes in him when things get worse and worse in terms of his claim of "just being friends". That is the sign of a girl with her head on her shoulders! And she is a good singer and a force of nature to boot!

I hope the next chapter is a huge happiness fest for Yuu, Fuuka and the gang and ends with somebody kissing Yuu!

I must say...I am quite pleased with this series so far. I've LOVED Seo's other works in the universe, Suzuka and KNIM, and then all of a sudden Fuuka turns into a drama/MUSIC manga? Hell yes I've been wanting to watch/read a BECKish show for a while now.
