I'm 34 and people often think I'm really young.. like early 20s. It's not too useful when you're in the teaching profession and the parents all think that you are too young, therefore they start to think that I don't know anything.. and basically messes up the whole authority thing. I do have white hair that I'm more than happy to leave there just to make myself look a bit older. :p

I'm jelly, out in public people would often mistake me as a 50 year-old virgin looking for young girls to ravage. Although that may true, I'm always hurt by their comments

I definitely look very young and can't grow a beard at all. I could get mistaken for a teen pretty easily and could just blend in at a high school. It has its advantages and disadvantages.

Take it as a compliment. When people ID/card you, its their job. Some stores have policies. Mine has one where we have to card anyone who looks 35 and under for tobacco and 50 and under for alcohol. If they give lip or anything i just also state that BY LAW it does not matter your age, you are supposed to be carded every time.

Exactly what Stilgar_87 said. It's part of people's job to ask for ID. When I worked at a movie theater people used to give me so much lip about having to show them ID for rated R movies. Most people who complain about getting carded never worked a job where they had to card people or are under 18. I'm turning 26 soon and I'm happy when people card me. That just means you look young. ITS A COMPLIMENT PEOPLE!!

I'm constantly being taken for younger than I am. It's the curse I live with having such darn good genes. I don't mind getting carded when I go get a bit of booze, because I know it's the law and they better be following it. What gets me is Wal-Mart... I do NOT look 17 or under, and when I want to buy a MOVIE... that's when getting carded pisses me off. I mean seriously... Do people not use a little common sense?

Of course you are not the only person who have experienced this.

I have many times. Sometimes people have asked me what grade am I currently in or present identification to prove I am a adult, but it does not bother me. I prefer to keep my youthful appearance or "baby face" versus looking older than my age.

I always get mistaken for being younger. I usually get told I look between 18-20 but I'm 30. I think it's because I'm very short.
