Why is the media making George Zimmerman a celebrity? I don't get it, he suppose to be fighting in some celebrity boxing show, which I wont be watching by the way. I can tell there wont be anything good coming out of this.

Media talks about George Zimmerman because people like to hear about George Zimmerman. And if this fight between him and DMX really does go down it will probably get a lot of views. Especially from African Americans. <-- All seriousness intended no racial intent there.

Anddd the we talk it the more attention it gets. I'd say George Zimmerman is kind of a celebrity by now.

I agree, people just love drama and the media will use that to their advantage.

They also turn school shooters into celebrities because it gets Neilson ratings. Even though experts say they shouldn't do it. But, they do it every time anyway because they want the numbers. Most stations follow the "if it bleeds: it leads" mantra.

Why would George Zimmermann even participate in a boxing match? is it for the money?
Whether he wins or loses he's still a murderer and hated. No good coming out of this for sure.
Whoever allowed this idea is sick in the head.

Because the worse of us are always the most fascinating.

Don't believe me... why do you think there is more books on Adolph Hitler or Stalin than there is on Mother Teresa or John Brown?

Mother Teresa is a bad example. (she was quite the evil person her self.)

She abused her helpers usually beat them with he cane. She only pretend to care for the poor, in order to build a reputation. ( She believe that people that did not worship her god are better of being slaves and admitted to that in a interview. ) Is was a fraud, and the people around her that got beat by her did the work and was the real saints/hero's.

it's really fucked up how somebody can shoot an unarmed kid, get away with it, and then become a celebrity as a result. why the fuck do people encourage that?

DMX: "I am going to beat the living fuck out him. I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I fuck him right up. Once I am done with him, I am going to whip my dick out and piss on him, right in his muthafuckin' face."

Self defense is a touchy subject especially with this case. You'll hear everything from "racist bigot" to "gun nut" to "child murderer" thrown around left and right. Trayvon was not some innocent 12 year old youth gunned down by the 'white' George Zimmerman. He was a 17 year old thug who did drugs and played around with guns.

To claim self defense you have to be in danger of physical harm or death. Someone stealing your wallet at a baseball game does not authorize you to mag dump on the thief. A persons fists however can absolutely kill you. When you are a victim and your life is in danger why the hell shouldn't you be able to defend yourself with the best means necessary? Would you sit there, take the punches, and hope your attacker got bored enough to leave? Hell no. I'd kill the hell out of them and let the jury decide my fate.

actually, self defense laws aren't that simple. If he were in another state it wouldn't matter because most other states only allow self defense with equal force (if somebody punches you, you can punch back, but not shoot, because guns are a more powerful force). Florida is one of the few states that does not have this law, which means if he truly was in danger of being killed, he would be totally innocent. the problem i have with this case is that the doctor that conducted the medical examination of zimmerman after the incident said his injuries were very minor, and that he hadn't been hurt significantly whatsoever.

zimmerman did follow trayvon for a while before the shooting, even he admitted that. trayvon was about my age when he was killed, and to be honest, if a creepy guy was following me and i was cornered, i would throw a punch if he was was threatening me. even if trayvon did throw the first punch, you can't honestly believe that zimmerman didn't instigate the fight by stalking him. if you think somebody is suspicious, you don't follow him and take matters into your own hands. you call the cops and let THEM do their job. if zimmerman had alerted the police, this whole situation could have been avoided. nobody would have been killed. trayvon didn't even do anything specific to make zimmerman think he was a criminal. he wasn't even dressed trashy, he was wearing tan pants and a sweatshirt.

tell me, if you saw a big black guy who looked like a criminal, would your instinct be to follow him? no, if you honestly thought some random stranger on the street was dangerous, you wouldn't follow him around, you would stay away, and call the cops. obviously something isn't sitting straight with zimmerman, because nobody would follow a criminal.

not only that, but zimmerman was known to be paranoid, and had made over 50 911 calls that year about suspicious behavior, all of which turned out to be nothing. when you take into account his paranoia, and his apparent need to stalk people who he thinks are criminals, you can deduce that something isn't right with him.
