I love absolutely everything about this show. There was no episode last Sunday because of the Broncos getting stomped. Tommorow is a different story they are airing it. Basically I was wondering if there are any other True Detective fans on here besides me.

Yes, i think the show is great and i don't like any of those csi shows. Characters in the show are great. Plot has me guessing every episode. The flow and feel of this show is unique and done very well. I wish i found out about this show when the season was already over so i don't have to wait a week between each episode. Last episode felt like it was 20 minutes long, time flies when your watching good TV.

Yeah, though I didn't quite find it perfect (ending was drawn-out and too cheesy to fit the rest of the content, plus the wife character was prety unsatisfying) I thoroughly enjoyed it regardless and was thankful I got to watch it once the season was over.

Excellent performances from McConaughey and Harrelson, with solid chemistry between their characters, who in their own rights were both interesting. Some of Rust's monologues felt a bit off/pretentious, but others really struck a chord with me, while there were several particularly memorable scenes (first scene, endings of episodes 3 & 4 namely). The show's got a real sinister vibe to it which accompanies its beautiful shots of the bayou and endless, flat, murky landscape dotted with ugly industrial areas. Its atmosphere was a real strength.
