Is there going to be a Season 2 of My mental choices are completely interfering with my school romantic comedy?

I completely agree with you. Noucome was one of the best comedy shows I have ever watched and I definitely want more. But it doesn't seem like we'll get any news of a second season any time soon. We will get an OVA sometime later this year though. I think it's during the spring season is the best time to expect that.

Correct! The OVA bundles with the Light Novel's eighth volume which releases on May 19, 2014 in Japan.

As for a second season? Certainly could happen, especially with the open-ending we were given. If we did get one, most likely wouldn't air until Fall 2014 (October 2014) at the earliest.

Shows like this are usually a one season sort of deal. So I wouldn't set your hopes super high on anything more than a smattering of OVA's. Series like HenNeko and Oreshura are sort of in the same boat. You enjoy them, they make you laugh, and then it's on to the next season to watch something else- usually being left with nothing more than untranslated manga to contend with if you want to know what happens after the anime ends

Disc sales are not good, only around 1K per volume. Sister series Mondaiji Tachi (Problem Children) sold about double.

Novel sales got a good bump though, volume 7 first week sold about double what volume 6 sold. However, it still isn't a big seller, 12K copies in the first week. This is way less than Mondaiji Tachi and we still don't have a season two for THAT show so...

I'm not holding my breath for either of them. I'm buying all the discs and novels in the hope that my purchases help but there may not be enough other people helping out. If you want to help, buying the discs and novels is what you can do. Signing petitions won't do anything. Now is the time to buy!!!

:( Hopefully they'll make a 2nd season regardless of the sales. This anime is really funny :)

Unfortunately they are in the business of making not just art but also money. While you and I and everyone on this thread would love to see a second season of this, the reality is that the companies who made the anime would likely rather make a show about a different novel series to a) help its novel sales; and b) perhaps make more money than this one did. Sad but true.

Hi. I'm closing this thread because it basically falls into the category of personal/help threads, which aren't allowed, per CR's site rules.

However there are some existing threads that can be helpful for this sort of thing:

Ask questions in the Anime Help thread:
/forumtopic-10664/the-anime-help-thread (this is "stickied" near the top of the Anime forum)

Read the "Season" threads, such as this one for the upcoming Spring Season, to keep up with what shows have been confirmed for specific seasons:
/forumtopic-829517/spring-2014-anime
(The first post gives a good summary of what's known to date, and folks regularly add new posts when they have new information)

or

The similar thread where folks share anime that's been given the go-ahead for production, even when it's not yet know what season it's expected to air in:

/forumtopic-796191/the-current-list-of-greenlit-anime

Hope that helps.
