Post Reply Drawing anime is always inspired....but by whom?
Posted 1/29/08
I watched anime from a young age...
Dragon Ball, Sailormoon...Doraemon and many more...but I always thought there were just cartoons like the rest...but....
However, the one anime that make me fell in love with anime and make me knew what is anime was Ah My Goddess....

The person behind the awesome series was Kosuke Fujishima and then the rest was history....^_^

wow, Ah My Goddess! was the anime that got me to love anime too, I haven't seen all of the episodes yet though. All though my style of drawing is more heavily influenced by Ranma 1/2.

CLAMP and Ogure Ito, I think. They have really cool drawing styles.

I cannot remember what made me like anime so much, but it was along the lines of reading manga like Samurai X, watching animes from Hayao Miyazaki and those anime-related games that gave me that interest. For me, it was not only the drawing but the story and how some of them are not only thought-provoking but also taught me some lesson, those that I might already know but did not appreciate.

Overall, I enjoy those anime that are really cool, funny, GAR, EPIC, and SEMANGAT!!!!111 (Malay for MORALE BOOST)

Guess in all honestly Love Hina would be the main reason and inspiration on why I draw. After that it was then Chobits. Ahh... some good times in the past...

I'm mainly influenced by Miyazaki-san, Yuu Watase, Ai Yazawa, and Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. Outside of the manga/anime circles, I'm also influence by Mucha, Waterhouse and Charles Vess.
