I had both... And no, not after watching a scary move.
The most vivid nightmare can relate to the weeping woman. I was in school and all of the sudden an earthquake happened, ( it felt as if someone kicked my bed) the lights went out and everyone panicked. Soon i was walking down the hallway... As i kept walking forward i notice a back of a student, i reached out to her shoulder and as she turned around to look at me, i felt my whole body shaking of fear...--- Sorry i can't finish it because im not a great writer and i suck at it.

Of course. I also had really good vivid dreams with some special people... and oh boy. Sometimes i try to go back to sleep just to dream with that special someone again, BUT IT NEVER HAPPENS

But, please do tell me you're worst vivid nightmare as well best dream.

Hmmmm......

I personally have night terrors often, so when I actually dream, they tend to be horrific.

The most memorable happened a few years ago. I found myself alone in a large city, the only thing I could hear were the moans of zombies. It went on for awhile, so I won't bore you with those details. Basic survival stuff, finding supplies and weapons.

The end of that dream was what was horrific. It ended with me being overrun by zombies. It was so vivid I could feel everything. I actually felt them tearing me apart. I woke up screaming bloody murder, to the point that people came in to check on me, and a neighbor called the police. I couldn't move for almost an hour because my body hurt so bad.

I still remember the way it felt... *Shudder*

This thread. I like it.

The most surreal dream I can recall in entirety was weird as all fudge (fudge is weird);

I was in some sort of MC Escher type building. Stairs and doors all over the damn place. Everything was white, walls, floors, etc. I was wandering around trying to find an exit, for what seemed to be forever. Dream time is weird. Anyway, Through my exploring, I came upon a pool of black goop. In the middle of it was a round platform (again, white) with an old, decrepit 40's era pickup sitting on it. So dream logic dictated that this busted up Chevy was my ticket out of this place. I was going to cross through the tary goop 'pool' and make my way to the truck. Easy enough. But as I got closer to the pool, these fins, and tendrils started moving about the surface. Something not unlike an HR Geiger wet dream. Well, screw that, I thought, I don't want to be Cthulhu food, so I started wandering around again. Though more frequently, no matter the path I took, I came about this broken truck, surrounded by an abyss of horror. It got to the point that every room I entered became this scene. So I jumped in and woke up, heart pounding, and sweating my ass off. It was one for the book, no doubt there.

While I do dream often, due to my erratic sleep cycle I can rarely remember more than ephemeral details.

very often, one that comes to mind was the one i had when i watched The Walking Dead for the first time

and then of course the perverted ones

The 'zombie trope' ones, were counted as my more mundane dreams. The Walking Dead played no small part in those, I'm sure. ~heh.

And, a 'dirty mind' is a sign of intelligence (source; science) embrace it.

When I was nine years old I found myself alone in the house on the second floor, and I knew that something ominous was going on outside. The sound of a car's horn was making a continuous tone, which my intuition foretold me was the dead body of someone who had been shot in the head, leaning on the steering wheel. I felt compelled to walk down the stairs towards the entrance, like the detective I am, when I saw a pair of feet slowly lowering outside the window in the stairs, and I knew that since his feet was hanging like that, he was most likely hanging from his neck. That is when the terror became so overwhelming that I became paralyzed; I couldn't move, I felt smaller, I looked away, I clang to the railing so I wouldn't fall down the stairs, tried to shout for help, but couldn't utter a sound. I hoped that it had passed, so I turned around to get a glimpse, when *wham* the face of a dead guy hanging from his neck was staring at me in the window, gurgling and hissing. I tried to look away, but my neck was hurting, it kept pulling me back, and forced me to look. I tried to shout for help and look away again and again, but nothing, and the sound of the car's horn was still burning in my ears while the dead guy stared at me.

When I finally woke up, I walked in to my parents bedroom because I needed to feel safe again... they got pissed and told me to fuck off.

Never have zombie type dreams, I hate zombie type stuff and find it boring and overrated, but more often ones where my life is at stake.

Just Monday I was coming down with something, a pretty strong cold or something. So I get home from work and I take a nap. The dream begins with me going to the grocery store for medicine, where I begin to lose consciousness. I "awake" in the dream to my place, where I'm still losing body control and can't talk. The dream itself feels like I'm dying, and I keep missing phone calls because I can't operate the phone. I did awake with my heart pounding and feeling like crap from the dream, but the phone calls I believe were from me falling asleep on my phone and the vibration of texts and missed calls on my back.

I had another one a few days ago, but don't remember the exact details outside of someone attempting to kill me by stabbing me in my back cutting vertically down the area my heart is located. It kept me awake for a bit because it felt so real.

Nightmares for me are dreams where you die, and you can literally feel your heart drop.

I had a recurring nightmare when I was a kid. It would always happen when I got sick.

I would be in a greyish forest. The moon is high, no stars in the sky. I run out of the forest only to be in this clearing covered with black thorny bushes as a thick fog creeping in. There's a path out but at the end is a tall looming shadow waiting, slowly creeping forward. Its hand reaches out to me. Its fingers are long, decayed, and crooked. I back away, only to find no escape.

At this point, I wake up. That place sucked.
