jeeze, calm down. it's just KLK : /

when i read threads like this, i just think about how it portrays a negative stereotype to the outside world and how they view people that like anime.

as far as i'm concerned, since i mainly just marathon block it on my days off it's not that big of an issue, if something is worth waiting for... you'll wait for it.

if you're upset, just agree on one thing... at least they aren't FUNimation, right?

Btw, why even call it a simulcast if its already aired in Japan?

I think simulcast in the sense of Crunchyroll refers to the fact that it's playing in the same season, ie. not waiting ages for a dub to finally come out.

Yes Crunchyroll. You need to offer some more communication about what's really going on to your paying members.
It's not just about Kill La Kill, this is a service.
We give some and you have to give some on your end as well.

Stop acting like this only happens within the anime community.
Consumers demanding at least more forms of communication regarding issues happens often in other places too, like in the gaming community.

Well they certainly need to do something, so much for a guarantee of service.

Episode 18 has already been fully subbed and uploaded in 720p on more than one torrenting website by fans, I'm really holding myself back from downloading it. I find it ridiculous how a company that specializes in this is being outdone by a group of people that translate anime out of hobby alone.

CR doesn't sub Kill la Kill...it has nothing to do with the site itself but the product where they got it from.

I would blame 10 different tv episodes coming out on the same day - I don't blame CR.

The issues didn't really start until this season. This season also happens to have the highest amount of simulcasts for CR. If it is an issue with the translators then I think CR either needs to hire more translators or decrease the amount of simulcasts they have going forward, because it is clear they've hit the breaking point in the translator to simulcast ratio, if that is indeed the issue.

Most of the delays this season have nothing to do with CR at all.

- The delays for Kill la Kill and Magi are entirely on Aniplex's side.
- The delay for Chuunibyou was because of a leak (not from CR)
- The cause of the delay for Seitokai Yakuindomo*is unknown, but it's most likely a contractual issue or late delivery.

I didn't realize the timing was so important to people...

I'm sure they're doing the best they can. its not as though their conspiring against their viewers. I understand that consumers demand instant satisfaction, and i'm not denying that one has a "right" to be a little upset, but patience is a virtue - and a few measures of grace and mercy are always good to have.

This is not a translation delay, or a delay in getting the episode uploaded onto the site. It's available in Australia and New Zealand right now, and to the best of my knowledge, they get the same version that we get in other English speaking territories. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.) This is what bugs me. The episode is on their servers. It's fully translated. But for some reason, people in regions other than Aus/NZ can't watch it yet. That's not a "production delay", production is completed. This is some sort of red tape, and yes, I think in this case the fans are entitled to an explanation of what's going on.

Simulcast means airing at the same time.

That's odd, because [url=http://www.crunchyroll.com/kill-la-kill/episode-18-649563?t=0]the episode page says it should be available for you right now. Something's fishy here.

Official statement or not, I know that this is all UTTER BULL CRAP and I hate it. I blame all internet pirates and all those who use their sites.

What? What does piracy have to do with delayed simulcasts? The "pirates" are having subbed versions of the episodes out much faster.
